What a blessing! How do you know her? If you don’t mind my asking! Oh, I’m sorry, I see that you are with Frontier! Did you, by any chance know her? You look a bit young to have known her but I must inquire! Jake Lamkins No, I didn't know her unfortunately. I worked at Frontier 1964 - 1986 and have become sort of a historian for the ex-employees. See my website at http://OldFrontierAirlines.com I received this photograph from a retired Frontier pilot whose deceased brother edited the Frontier Magazine. I have cropped another flight attendant out of it. I was doing a google search of Eleanor when Jon's comment and your answer showed up and felt sure you would enjoy the photo. I also found out she had "flown west" as we call it in the airlines. I'll be adding her to our memorial website so anything you can add would be helpful. It so great to find she led such a long life but the neptune obituary said hardly anything. Is there a full obituary somewhere? Do you know the dates she worked at Frontier? Great to be in touch with her family. I have three other articles on her from the Frontier newsletters in 1952 and 1953. Sandy Banks Thank you for all of this info! I will talk to my husband and find out what I can about her Frontier days. The nursing home that she was in wrote the obit. I will update you a bit on her life when graduations and things calm down! She was a great lady! (5/24/22) Eleanor is #7 on the oldest list and is the longest lived flight attendant at present. -Jake Lamkins (5/24/22) Sandy Banks Would you mind sending links to the articles that you have with her in them? Please! Jake Lamkins See attached items. (5/25/22) Sandy Banks, Hi, Mr. Lamkins, I keep troubling you! You opened a whole new world of info and treasures for our family! My son, Jon Banks is trying to join your Facebook group. Is it for employees and past employees only? He is really the family history buff and is so curious. Would it be possible to approve him? Also, I am in the process of getting more info on Eleanor for you but we have 2 graduations in the next few weeks with travel from Georgia to both Alabama and Florida involved. Just wanted you to know that I have not forgotten. Have a great day! Jake Lamkins Thanks for the update. I have approved you, Kimball and Jon to our group. Welcome aboard and I look forward to more info on the great Eleanor. Love that pic of her and Jimmy Stewart. (5/25/22) Could not find much info online. Still need a full obituary and her hire date with Frontier and when she left - probably when she got married. Her family promised more info later. -Jake Lamkins (5/26/22) FLacebook Frontier Memorial Webpage Posted ELEANOR CAYGILL BANKS 1952 - 1953 FLIGHT ATTENDANT DEN PHX http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Eleanor_Caygill_Banks.html Still need her dates of employment and a full obituary.
