Here are some pictures of an incident which happened at the 
Kansas City Downtown Airport when we were still flying out ot there. 
'The aircraft had landed and as they were making the turn off the runway, the left main gear collapsed.  
Don Powell and Ed Trimble were in the "wheel house".  
Polly Powers was taking care of the folks in the back.

Big Ed Trimble passed away yesterday afternoon. 
Don't have any details right now.

More awful news. Joe Able passed away about an hour ago. Just received the call.
Once I know more, I'll pass it to you.
Still no further news on Big Ed. 
My Dad's wife, Sheryl, doesn't believe there will be any service or memorial. 
I'll let you know what I know.

Jake,  all the time I spent as ALPA Master Chairman my thoughts were “what have you gotten yourself into Walker?”  
Ed preceded me as Chairman and had loads of experience with ALPA doing
One thing certain, my plight was lessened by Ed Trimble‘s mentoring.  
Others for sure helped with our struggle.  However, Ed’s counsel was always welcome!  
Ed hired on in October ’67 a few months after I did.  
Soon his abilities beyond flying the airplane were evident.  
He made a huge difference during contract negotiations!
RIP Ed!  You’ll long be remembered!
