Thanks again, -Ed Quisenberry (11/21/05) Facebook: Susan Quisenberry Well the day has finally come. My hubby, Ed, will be going in to the hopsital tomorrow morning for open heart surgery. We have been waiting for almost a month now and are both anxious to get this behind us. Please add him to your prayer list. thanks. I'll try and send out an update tomorrow evening. (11/2/10) Facebook: Tell Ed I'll be rooting for him! -Jake Lamkins (11/2/10) Susan Quisenberry Ed came home from the hospital yesterday. It was a very long day for him. He slept fairly well last nite, at least it was quiet. We've already scheduled follow up dr appts for the next couple of weeks. He will be getting into cardiac rehab once dr says it is ok. Studies show this to be a very important part of recuperating. Appetite is good, but he is slow eating, has to pace himself. (11/10/10) FLacebook Ed is 72 years old today. E QUISENBERRY M DOB 6/11/43 DOH 5/24/69 -Jake Lamkins (6/11/15) FLacebook Ed is 75 years old today. (6/11/18) Facebook on Susan Quisenberry UPDATE on Ed. The 2nd CT scan showed no new bleeding but the amount of blood present is causing a lot of pressure. They are going to do surgery to drain that blood. He is receiving platelets and getting his blood pressure down. We are impressed with the surgeon and the nurses say he is very good. They anticipate he will be discharged on Sunday or Monday All prayers and positive thoughts are very much appreciated. (3/7/24) Susan Quisenberry Update on Ed He is still in ICU. He is currently sedated and on a ventilator so his brain can rest The brain is very irritable and he is having seizures almost hourly. The Neurology team is trying to get the seizures under control with meds but it doesn't seem to be working very well yet. At least since he is sedated the pain is controlled so that is a Blessing. He needs lots of prayers and angels to surround him and get him to recovery. The CT Scans shows good blood flow and no bleeding in his brain so the surgery was a success. They just need to figure out what is causing all these seizures. (3/11/24) Jan Lefler on FLacebook messenger Just to let you know Jake, I just got a notice from somebody in Arizona that Ed Quisenberry passed away yesterday. I don't know who sent it because it came from Ed's Facebook.. let you know if I find out anything else. (3/15/24) I'm not surprised. Susan had posted how bad off he was. -Jake Lamkins (3/15/24) FLacebook Jan Lefler To our FL family, I got a message from Susan Quisenberry that Ed passed away yesterday. (3/15/24) Susan Quisenberry On Facebook 3/16/24/2319 Final Update on Ed We met with the Trama Team on Wed. They have tried multiple drugs to control the seizures, but that was not happening. He had been put back on the ventilator and sedated on Sunday so his brain could rest. They had done everything they could, but nothing was working. He had brain damage from the stroke and brain damage from all the seizures. There was no chance of any recovery so we made that awful, difficult decision to take him off the ventilator and see what he could do on his own. He took 2 breaths and he was gone. We had taken the 2 younger grandsons to see him the nite before to say their goodbyes. The other 3 grandchildren and the rest of our family were all with Ed when he passed. He seemed at peace. There will be a Celebration of Life service next Saturday, March 23 at 10 am at Tri-City Baptist Church in their chapel, 2211 W Germann Rd, Chandler. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that a donation in Ed's memory be made to one of the following charities: American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, Parkinson Disease Foundation or to Rescue A Golden of AZ We so appreciated all the prayers and support we have received during this last week. It has helped us stay focused on what was best for Ed. Thank you.
