ED HUNTSMAN 1977 - 1984 STATION AGENT, SENIOR STATION AGENT GUP ABQ HOU LAS DRO FLacebook Ed Huntsman I worked with Jeff Gilbert in ABQ in the late 70s - great guy. (5/30/15) Kent Retchlesswas a great guy - killed instantly when a car on the freeway in LAS ran off the road, hit a bunch of bushes, actually launched over them and came down on the passenger cabin of Kent's car when he was on the way to work. His wife Vicki and the kid's relocated to Mexico. It was really a terrible tragedy. -Ed Huntsman (7/18/15) Ed Huntsman Re Walt Albany I worked with Walt in ABQ on the ramp, freight, OPS and once in a while on the counter - great guy that could do it all. (9/23/15) FLacebook posting on Mike Leonard gone west Ed Huntsman Mike always had a smile - great sales guy and a hell of a good golfer! (2/26/16) FLacebook on Jim Dawson gone west posting Great guy - the FMN team were great up line and down line partners for GUP on 508, 509 & 618 back in the mid to late 70s! -Ed Huntsman (1/1/18) FLacebook Ed Huntsman I was station agent in GUP, ABQ and HOU. SSA in LAS til I got canned for closing our last Sunday departure back to the west coast too early to avoid oversells with nowhere to send our passengers. Did my penance and came back to close DRO for Frontier, open DRO for Commuter and then Frontier again for the ski flights. Closed DRO when Commuter went belly up. Loved everything about Frontier, made lifelong friendships and learned enough about managing an airline to know NOBODY has ever done better. (1/9/18) Ed Huntsman posted a photo at Facebook on Dec 15, 2018 One of the “fun” things about repacking for a move - things that were previously packed for a move to consolidate. Back in the airline days at an apartment in Albuquerque with Steven, or Christopher before grade school. Bernie Digman When were you in Albuquerque? We lived there '76-'90. Ed Huntsman 76 - 78. Then Houston, Las Vegas, Denver, Durango, Las Vegas again, Phoenix, New Orleans and now on our way back to Phoenix! Gallup was before Albuquerque. "In celebration of the life of Ed Huntsman please consider a donation of any size to the Community Sailing New Orleans. The service will be held at 10:00 am at 9380 West Peoria Ave in Peoria, AZ. He served on US Sailing's DEI committee, bemoaning often that the pool of sailors to fill the committee included an old white guy. He stepped aside at the first opportunity to allow the committee to become more diverse. Help with the work of making sailing more representative of the population."
