There was Richard W. Davis, chief pilot in Billings, killed in Jeep accident about 1981.

I'm trying to track him down at the Social Security Death Index 
but there are so many with that name I can't pin him down.
Where was he from, about how old, do you have a birthdate or date of death?  
Was he living in MT at the time or elsewhere.

I work in the genealogy library on Thursday.  
I will check cemetery records and get back with you.  
I helped handle the funeral for him but I don't remember the date.  
He was killed in Billings and it seem like it was not long before they closed the Billings base.  
Oh, I just found it in my old records.

He went by Dick.  
He was a very fine man, and was liked and admired by those in the Great Falls and the Billings base.

Al is still in Calif. and I will be talking to him tomorrow night so I'll ask him if he knew Dick.  
Yes, Mountview Cemetery is in Billings.  
I know all the funeral directors in town since I work at the church.  
Do you know which funeral home handled his funeral?

Dick Davis was born 6-10-1938  and died several days after a Jeep accident from injuries in Billings on 5-21-1980. 
At the time of his death, Dick was the BIL Chief Pilot.  Dick was very well liked.  Always wore a smile.  
He came to Frontier on 5-22-67.  Ernie was correct, Dick's full name was Richard Walter Davis.

Husband, Dick Davis, flew as captain for Frontier before his death in 1980.
