One of Lynn Pope's pallbearers in 1970 was Dean Reynolds who was also a SA in VEL.
I'd be surprised if he's still alive. He was no kid when I covered VEL. 
I thought I read he was the airport manager after FL pulled out. 
I can't imagine where I would have read that other than on your web site. 
Dean kept a message WDG sent reporting "numerous tornados in front of the terminal."
The other agent was Frank Merrill and he's probably gone too. 
Dean and Frank hated each other and didn't speak to one another! 
That sure made a three-man station an interesting place.

Obituary
Want to send you an obituary of on old friend, Dean Reynolds, 
that worked for Frontier Airlines for 30 years at Vernal, Utah.
He just passed away, a week ago, many people may not know him 
because he spent his whole time with FAL in this little town.

He took home station furlough when VEL closed Mar 1, 1982.
His furlough had expired in Mar 1984 and he is not

Worked in VEL for a few years. Worked with Dean! 

Tony Chew
I worked with Dean Reynolds at the airport for Frontier would make reservations through the phones. 
The reservation book was about a foot wide, had to look quick and fast in that big book to find connections.
