Don Anderton was Asst. Mgr, Gary McCarrel, Stan Covington,
Dean Buethe, and Don Halterman were Sr. Agts. 
Maint., Stewardess, and Pilots were based in SLC. 
We had many fog problems usually around the Holidays, 
created severe problems attempting to work Fits. At Ogden Airport.
The AL Feldman years were the best for the employees and the Airline 
and he will never be forgotten by most of us that knew him personally.

I got an email from Don Anderton's wife this morning.  
She said she saw something about Dean Buethe's death.  
All I can find is a short note on the funeral homes website.

I searched both SLC newspapers and can't find anything.  
I'm guessing they didn't do an obituary.

Hey guys, I found his obit, his first name was Orel and I had forgotten that.  
He died 4/02 and graveside services was held on the 8th.  
Since Don is gone no one keeps me informed about deaths in the FAL SLC family.

OBITUARY
O. Dean Buethe
Husband, father, grandfather O. Dean Buethe passed away on April 2, 2014. 
A dedicated worker, he spent over 40 years working for various airlines. 
After retiring from the airline industry, he loved to work in his yard. 
Dean belived that any time not spent doing something was time wasted. 
When he wasn't working, you would find him in a bowling alley. 
Bowling was one of his great passions in life. 
He competed on many championship teams and won numerous tournaments.
Dean is survived by his wife , Carol, 2 brothers; Richard and Warren, 
3 children; Allen, Cheryl (Henley), Linda, 3 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am Tuesday April 8, 2014 
at Valley View Memorial Park, 4355 West 4100 South, West Valley City. 
Viewing will be held 9:30 - 10:30 am Tuesday 
at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna.

I worked wit Dean at FL in SLC from '79 to shutdown. 
We both worked at Delta for about 12 years after that. 
He was a very easy going guy. 
We worked in different departments  but saw each other often.
 He will be missed.

Dean was at FL all the years Al and I were there (58 to 64). 
So sad that we are all fading away but that is what life is all about.

He was from DEN and his dad was a mechanic for Frontier.
His dad is on the mechanic obit list.

I worked w/ Dean in SLC from 68 to 76... 
remember when he would grab the 1st local bag 
and run to the belt so our delivery times were low.

He always use to stick his head in the pit asking what's the holdup!?
