CLYDE STILLMAN 1967 - 1986 STATION AGENT SLC Clyde died sometime Wednesday night. His sister found him Thursday morning. He was still at her house in Dallas. Clyde had had heart bybass surgery about six weeks ago. Last time I talked to him he was in good spirits and sounded good. His sister found him Thursday morning so I guess he died in his sleep sometime Wed. night. Clyde hired on in SLC and spent his whole time there as a station agent. I can't remember his hire date but I believe it was late 67 or early 68. -Paul Farris (4/22/05) Posted at the FL Club: Just got word from Paul Farris that SLC station agent Clyde Stillman was found dead in his bed yesterday morning. More info as we get it. -Jake Lamkins (4/22/05) Thanks for lettin me know about Clyde. Seems like just yesterday we were skiing together at Park West with Carol and Gary PInson. Lots of beer breaks. I remember one day Clyde had a new cap that he was really proud of. It happened to blow off about halfway down the mountain and Gary was just behind and decided to "save the hat". He speared it with his pole and then skiied up to Clyde and held the pole out so he could have his hat back. Boy, was he pissed. Didn't really like the new hole from Gary's ski pole. Go figure. -Ron Abfalter (4/23/05) Vet's Ashes Found in Trash Led to Proper Burial What a story!!! Reminds me of Clyde Stillman. He used to tell me that when he died he wanted me to have him cremated, his ashes put in a paper sack, and the sack thrown in the first dumpster I came to. -Paul Farris (1/18/10) C S STILLMAN Station agent seniority date of 11/27/67, emp# 08163, on the 1/1/86 FL/ALEA Seniority List. -Jake Lamkins (2/19/11) The pictures of Clyde are for you pick one to replace the one on the obit page. The one that is there now is from his obituary and I think another would be better as no one saw him like he was at the end of his life. -Paul Farris (2/26/13) Good idea! I was thinking the same thing. -Jake Lamkins (2/26/13) Posted at FLacebook and the FL Club: SLC station agent Clyde Stillman's memorial webpage has been updated. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Clyde_Stillman.html Near a dozen items added including many photos from Paul Farris who worked with Clyde in SLC. -Jake Lamkins (3/3/13) One of my favorite Frontier employees!
