CLYDE HART 1964 - 1986 PILOT GSW DAL DFW MKC MCI DEN I'd like to send you my biography, USMC-CEN-FAL-CAL, if you wouldn't mind. I haven't added to my book, "Captain Clyde", for a few months. Probably have to serialize it, sell it to TV, and call it "Beyond Soap". Haven't changed any names, times, dates, or events......... so it will probably have to be censored. Do you want it via e-mail with a picture, or in an envelope (brown paper, unmarked)? We'll be moving to Crossville, TN within 6 months. Already have our home with 5 acres and a creek and bass pond. -Clyde Hart (10/20/03) Flew out of MKC temporarily for three months in 1966 after I left CEN training department, then for three months when I made Captain in 1976. Enjoyed most of the crews and Bob Lockett for CP. Overnights at the Aladdin were most fun, especially the parties organized by Leonard Pratt, Davie Martin and a few others of the CEN pilots. Chickens cooked in waste baskets using bed slats and bowling balls thrown out of 5th floor windows. We even invited BNF and OZA crews to join in the fun. These new pilots coming up with other carriers will NEVER know what a REAL airline was like before HR and Psychologists got involved. -Clyde Hart (7/17/05) Some of you may remember my dad, Clyde Hart. He was quite a legend when I was growing up. My dad passed away today and although his family knew it was only a matter of time, it still hurt when it actually happened. -Laura Hart Rawlings (11/9/13) Captain Clyde Hart has flown West Just got a phone call from Jim Ford ... Clyde Hart flew West sometime in the last 2 days ... No other info at this time ... -Phil Stallings (11/12/13) Sorry to hear of Clyde's having Gone West, a flight we all must take. Hopefully, he'll enjoy smooth air with warm soft tailwinds and a bright star to steer by... -Billy Walker (11/12/13) Captain Clyde Hart passed Saturday 11/09/13. He didn't want a service or viewing. This came from his wife, Judy. -Jim Ford (11/12/13) Thank you everyone for your prayers and condolences. My dad had good qualities and bad qualities, as we all do. My dad never ever every put any of his daughters down and always told us how much he loved us. I remember when he used to take all six of us to the Father/Daughter dinner at the Elks Club. Of course, he had the most daughters and he was sooooo proud. -Laura Hart Rawlings (11/12/13) Clyde was right up there with many of our great pilots in always taking good care of the station people - he also never wanted to leave a non rev behind and many times would have them sit in the cockpit rather than be left behind - no doubt put his job on the line everytime he did it but God Bless his big heart -Joe Barker (11/13/13) So sorry to hear about Clyde. I do not know if you remember this but he was the pilot in Palm Springs that waved goodbye to me and Frontier employees because of our closing. -Shirley Shackelford (11/13/13) RIP, Clyde!!! What a great person, pilot, friend & compatriot!! -J.D. Newton (11/13/13) I flew with Clyde at Central. We were like a big family!!! -Gloria Croisant (11/13/13) We could always count on Clyde for a smile. He will be missed by many. -Martie Palser (11/13/13) I remember when I was working the gate at STL and had a family in a rush to make a conx at DEN to be with their mother who was near death. I went in the cockpit and told him about it and found our flt had a 30min gate hold due to STL traffic. He said get 'em on board anyway for an on-time departure. I told the family the captain would do all possible to get them to DEN for their conx flt. Clyde apparently did some real smooth talking. That flt left the gate on time and was airborne within 5min of pushback, and STL tower even changed runways for a shorter taxi time. RIP Capt Clyde Hart. - Chuck Tisckos GUP, ABQ & DRO send regrets as well. What a great guy. Best always and you're in our hearts and prayers, Judy. -Ed Huntsman Clyde will be remembered by me with such love, we had great times at Frontier. I would always joke with him about him and his uniform... he'd wear it anywhere,,,one proud pilot -Christina Bonatti (11/17/13) C F HART JR Emp# 03519, DENHA address in Hendersonville, NV per the Nov 1984 FL Roster.
