She is still missed by all. She left her husband Cliff, daughters Jeannie and Amy, son Wade, and 8 grandchildren. Thanks for your great contribution to the old FAL employees by your Webb site and newsletter. We really appreciate it and hope everyone stays in touch with us down here in Florida. Tampa is great (cooler than south Florida) and I'm with my kids Cliff and Cheryl and their families (6 grandkids -but since they are now in the ranges from 17 to 25 is proves just how old this grandpa is getting. Just made 69 on June 1. Hopefully I'll stick around for the big 70. Hi and love to all my good friends with FL (old or new) and drop me e-mails so I can stay in contact with all of them. -Cliff Brown (6/8/03) I worked with Cliff Brown for years in the ABQ station before he went to DEN and became a Senior Agent there -- I believe for several years. Once when I was in DEN, Cliff loaned me his vehicle to run some errands. Seems like it was a pickup truck. I really appreciated that because I didn't have to rent an Avis car which was expensive for us agents at the time. Sometime after that, I lost track of him and always wondered if he stayed in DEN until the end. -Mac McElhaney (2/3/05) I first met Cliff in JAC in 1976. Then 1984-86 I was in DEN with Cliff. Cliff's second wife Sonja was a FL accounting clerk who died in 1999. They were a real FLamily! -Jake Lamkins (2/3/05) Cliff E. Brown FT SSA emp # 1102 per DEN station roster dated 8/9/86 C E BROWN Seniority date of 5/30/59 per the 1/1/86 FL/Alea seniority list. -Jake Lamkins (3/4/06) I was delighted to receive a most welcome phone call yesterday (Saturday, 11/18) from a long lost grand friend "Clifford Brown" whom I first met in the late Sixties while stationed in ABQ and developed a marvelous friendship with later on in my "FL" career during my several different "Tours of Duty" at Stapleton where "Cliff" had become an extremely knowledgeable, highly respected and immensely popular "Senior Agent". Cliff now lives in Florida, the past several years have been extremely difficult for Cliff due to terminal illnesses of his beloved wife Sonja and both his brother & sister. -Bob Pearson (11/20/06 I flew to Tampa, Florida this past weekend to enjoy a 5 day reunion with Cliff Brown. He lives in Wesley Chapel (about 30 miles NE of Tampa) I had a great visit with him and met his Son & Daughter (and spouses & families) along with his former wife "Barbara" who also lives in this area....A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all involved !! I took a years worth of my back copies of the "Frontier News" for Cliff to read... I believe he devoured every word in these 4 copies....I gave him your mailing address & phone number which he eagerly accepted..... "like leading a horse to water, but then getting the horse to drink ? Is now the big question ??...... I very sincerely hope that Cliff ( one way or another ) will get in touch with you !! Thanks again, -Bob Pearson (2/11/07) I don't know if you know Cliff Brown or not. He was a SSA in DEN for years. He is in assisted living in Tampa now. I talked to him for about 1/2 hour yesterday and he would love to hear from any Frontier people. If you want his phone number or know of anyone that would let me know and I will send it on to you. -Ron Abfalter (7/20/08) Posted at the FL Club: DEN SSA Cliff Brown is ailing Ron Abfalter emailed: "Cliff Brown was a SSA in DEN for years. Cliff was a station agent and SSA 1959-86 at ABQ JAC DEN. Give him a holler if you met over the FL years. -Jake Lamkins (7/20/08) Cliff lives in an Assisted Living Facility Facility here in Tampa. He has dementia and is a brittle diabetic and couldn't live at home anymore. I think the only thing he remembers is FAL and his friends. He's never been one for the computer so I can relay a note or message for anyone who wants to send an e-mail. I would like to know about the the 2011 FAL DEN picnic. I thought if everything was going ok I could fly up with him as he can't travel alone, and he could attend and see all his old friends. I'll keep all abreast of how he is doing. The people who don't know me, I'm Barbara, his ex-wife. Now after 20 yrs of being married to him and 33 years of being divorced, we've continued friends and now I am his guardian. Nice getting in touch with everyone again. Hope to hear from ya'll again soon. -Barbara Brown (9/21/10) Hi Barbara, Your email saddens and gladdens me. I'm sorry to hear about Cliff's health problems but glad he has someone like you to help him. I met Cliff in 1976 in Jackson Hole and worked with him at Denver 1984-86. Cliff was the one who gave me my "intro tour" of the airport and Frontier operations when I arrived. You can keep up with the Frontier reunions at our website where there is a reunion webpage with the latest info on dates, etc. Give Cliff my regards and thank you for helping him. -Jake Lamkins (9/22/10) Just a line or two to let you know how Cliff is doing. What a lot of you do not know is that Cliff has Dementia and also Parkinsons. He has been a brittle diabetic for years and had several toes amputated in April due to an infection he developed. He was living in an Assisted Living but when he became ill in March I brought him home to live with me. Guess our relationship has been strange to a lot of you but it has worked for 57 years for us. We were married 20 years and have been divorced for 37 years and he is and has always been my best friend . Now I am not only his best friend but his guardian and caretaker. Cliff has had a really tough time the last 10 months and I know all his friends would like to know how he is and also get in touch with him (us). Some old friends, on a good day, he remembers and talks about. Other days he doesn't know his grandchildren or other members of the family. If any of you would like to send a note to him you can do it through this e-mail address or my facebook page. We have been friends with a lot of you for a lot of years and I talk to him about you often to try to keep the memories alive. Feel free to call us or write and I will keep you posted along the way. Any questions you might have about him, his condition or just to say hi to him, call any time. Thanks to all of you for your friendship over the years. -Barbara Brown (11/28/12) Hi Barbara. I posted your email at FLacebook, a page we have at Facebook. Tell Cliff hello from me. I still remember how kind he was to me when I was the new kid on the block in DEN in 1984 when I transferred there. -Jake Lamkins (11/28/12) Cliff is still about the same.  We appreciate all the "old" friends that have contacted us.  He talked to Vern Stone the other day and Fred Elliot sent us a note.  I'll keep you updated on his progress.  Thanks for everything.    -Barb Brown (1/19/13) Cliff is physically not much worse. Memory is hour to hour. -Barb Brown (3/9/13) How is Cliff doing. I talked with him a year or so back. He sounded chipper. I really had many good times with Cliff at work and after. He was driving a RTD bus the last time I saw him and we were going to have a beer but that never happened. He is a great one – never had a cross word to say about anyone or anything. -Dick Shriver (9/7/13) I've been in Fla since 94 to take care of my mom who had Alzheimers. I had her 11 yrs. Cliff came here when he retired in 2002. Cliff has Alzheimers, Parkinsons, diabetes and kidney disease. I have had him with me for 18. He was in assisted living from 2006 to 2112 but got so bad from an infection he had to have toes amputated. He knows me (who in this world could ever forget me, haha) but most of the time not even the kids, not the grand or great grand kids. He can hardly walk and uses wheelchair most of time. Thought we were going to lose him 3 weeks ago but he bounced back. Take it day by day. Hope you and yours are doing well. Haven't been to Scottsbluff in a long, long time. Probably not since we left in 1962. Just started getting back in touch with everyone since I got on Jake Lamkins site. Hope to hear from you again soon. -Barb Brown (9/7/13) Note with $50 donation: Jake, Here's a small donation for you to use as you like. Don't need a subscription - online is good enough. Thanks for all you do. Barbara (Cliff) Brown 9709 Redwood Blvd Tampa, FL 33635 (10/21/13) Believe it or not Cliff's up and at'em again. No memory to speak of but walking again and talking. Took all his medicine away and he came around to where he was a year ago. Still onery. Guess his medicine was causing a toxic back up. Only think I can figure out. Drs don't know what to think but said go with it. -Barb Brown (11/24/13) Just to let ya'll know Cliff is doing very well. Still has Alz but is not in a wheel chair any more, rarely uses walker or cane. Dr saw him for the first time in 3 months and didn't believe he was still alive must less walking, talking, joking and his notorious flirting with every thing in skirts. He asked me what I did and told him I took him off all his meds for 3 months and now he's alive and has quality of life again. His tests after 3 months of no meds except his insulin for diabetes, came back almost perfect. In fact his blood pressure was lower then mine (which is understandable after putting up with him 24/7 (joke people)). He doing really good. Before anything else happens planning on a trip to PHX to see relatives and FL friends. Maybe see some of ya'll. -Barb Brown (2/22/14) Most of you know that Cliff Brown has Alzheimers. Cliff has been with me now for 3 yrs and we just take day by day. Just saying................hug your loved ones -Barb Brown (10/19/14) Just to give you and update on Cliff Brown. Last time I updated you Cliff wasn't expected to get any better. Then, on Christmas Eve day I found him in the bathroom and he wanted to know when breakfast would be ready. Since then he has improved everyday and walks great with his walker. His memory is mostly back most days. Strange how God works but am forever thankful for him and his powers. Cliff has been reading the Quarterly News from Jake and does remember some of the people he was closest with. Hopefully he continues getting better and if ever possible attend the PHX/DEN reunion. Thank you all for your good wishes and concern. Will try to post more often. -Barb Brown (1/19/15) That is super news! -Jake Lamkins (1/19/15) Cliff woke up Dec 24 and was his old self and got better every day. He's doing good and after years of talking about it, Cliff and I got married again on 1/21/15. Only 38 years after our divorce. God works in mysterious ways. Total time together 43 yrs and best friends 60 yrs. This is for all who didn't know. -Barb Brown (2/23/15) Just to let you know Jake that Cliff passed away tonight at 11:56 p.m. Services will probably be on Thursday but will let you know. I posted something on Facebook FLamily about it. Lots to do so will sent Obit when it appears. -Barb Brown (3/28/16) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Cliff Brown DEN senior station agent Cliff Brown's memorial webpage has been posted: http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Cliff_Brown.html -Jake Lamkins (4/9/16)
