Opal Louise Schroeder 
(October 10, 1929 - July 28, 2008) 
Schroeder, Opal "Louise" (Conde/Parman) Atchison 78, 
retired secretary receptionist for Wesley & Bankers Life, passed away, Monday, July 28, 2008.
Louise was born October 10, 1929 to Thomas and Leona Parman, Jr. in Wichita. 
Louise married Carl Ambrose Schroeder, Jr. on August 2, 1983 in Reno, Nevada.
Survivors: daughters Susie George (David Warr), Patti (Edward) Mora, Cynthia Atchison (Jody Davis) all of Wichita, 
Rickadeen (Sheldon) Ralston, Meteetse, WY; sons Dana (Alair) Schroeder, Idaho Falls, ID, 
Kirk (Randa) Schroeder, Laurel, MT; sister Eileen Bateman, Denver. 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild. 
Preceded in death by her parents; spouse; son Steven Atchison; brother Bob Conde.
Graveside memorial service 10:00 Saturday, August 2, at Old Mission Cemetery, Last Supper addition, 
with a memorial service following at Cherry Creek Village, 8200 E. Pawnee in Wichita at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial: Alzheimers Association in care of the funeral home.

I faintly remember Carl in a/c overhaul in Denver.
I worked with him from 68 to 70.
Acording to the 1976 IAM seniority list , his hire in date was 11/19/65 in dept 6651 which is base overhaul.
Not much help, but that's all I remember.

I hired on with FAL about 1 mo after Carl Schroeder did in DEN overhaul dock,
worked under Oliver Frigon and Les Berkstrom.
I moved around to different departments some but Carl stayed in the hanger
working in the overhaul dock [BOP] until shutdown in 1986 to the best of my
knowlege he never worked any where else and I know he was always in DEN,
hope this helps.

He is not on the May 1986 mechanics seniority list.
I will assume he retired in 1985 when he 
reached 62 years of age until I get more info.
