BOB GIVEN 1958 - 1986 AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, INSPECTOR, LEAD INSPECTOR DEN I started at Frontier July 1958 as a mechanic in the DC-3 and Convair overhauls. Then I went to line maintenance. Later I started line crew working on the Convair Allison engines and the other aircraft. In 1966 I went to school with the line crews for the B-727 aircraft in SFO - 4 weeks in August - when we had the first B727-100 and worked line and heavy maintenance when we got the B727-200s. In the Spring of 1968 I got into the inspection crew - still nights on heavy maintenance. That Fall I went to the line crew - still nights. Later, I worked any place we were needed inside or outside. I think it was 1974 when I went to be a lead inspector in overhaul then back to the line ramp crew. This started seven years of two grave, 2 swing and one day shifts. Then we all went into the overhaul in the hangar until the close down in 1986. -Bob Given (4/6/08) The obit for Bob Given, a Lead Inspector was in the Denver Post this AM.
