BOB CONNOLLY 1968 - 1986 PROVISIONING AGENT, SENIOR PROVISIONING AGENT, STATION AGENT DEN Hi Jake, I am a former FAL customer service agent who didn't know about this group, and I would love to know more. I heard about it from Dick Shriver at a retirement party for Bob Connolly. Would appreciate any info and advise on how to sign up. Thanks, -Dianne Shomo (7/10/11) ROBERT CONNOLLY DEN SA FT Emp#01524 Per the 8/9/86 DEN Station Personnel List -Jake Lamkins (7/9/11) Bob phoned to ask for info on a strike sign. We pinned it down to the 1970 negotiations when we had two slowdowns and picket signs were issued. But there was no strike as an agreement was reached Oct 4, 1970 with $1000 top out for station agents. Bob said he started in provisioning then went to the ramp in DEN. He also talked about a fancy FL belt buckle he has which sounds like the one I have in the display case at the museum. It is silver and turquoise. He said an agent named Rolang Berg had a few dozen made by an inmate at the Colorado prison in Canon City and sold them for $25 or so. He has been offerred $300 for his. Roland often went to GUP to buy Indian jewelry which he sold in DEN. Bob also told me that he and Dick Shriver were not allowed in the DEN employees parking lot when they came to work the morning of the bankruptcy. They heard about the shutdown while driving in for the early morning shift. I told him I would send a pic of my buckle to see if it matched his. -Jake Lamkins (9/30/11) Hi Bob, I was mistaken about the FL buckle I have. Attached is the one I have - the F on red. Also is attached is a pic of the one I saw on ebay but was outbid. I suspect this is the one you have. I also checked my files and the 1970 contract was signed Oct 4, 1970. So the strike signs were issued in late September. It was the first time a topped out station agent got $1000 per month. Great talking to you. -Jake Lamkins (9/30/11) Hi Jake, I need to get ahold of Bob Connolly, ex agent here in Denver area. He's going to help me get news out for a memorial party for Gregg Gregory. He contacted me but I lost his number & address. So it helped a lot, as there are a lot of Bob Connollys. Hes going to help put together the party for Gregg. -Bonnie Dahl (2/22/16) Bob phoned to brag about a FL DC-9 model he bought recently at a toy show for $65. 16" long and 13" wingspan. He had recently talked to Dick Shriver. He came by looking for the Air Museum in FSM, forgetting it was in FYV but he saw the one in the FSM airport terminal. -Jake Lamkins (7/17/17) FLacebook req to join 11/9/21 Robert Connolly Worked at Frontier Airlines When and where did you work for the original Frontier Airlines?
