Thought you may want the info for the Obit. page. This is a clipping I have had that was out of the Rocky Mountain News. Robert James "R.J." Bollinger 73, of Aurora died Nov, 12. Services were Nov, 15. Mr. Bollinger was born in Minneapolis on July 7, 1923. He was in the Army Air Forces and reached the rank of Captain. He was a pilot Captain for Frontier Airlines from 1947 to 1981. He was a member of Wings Of Denver Airline Pilots Association. He is survived by wife Ima Jo of Aurora; Sons Scott of New Mexico, Mark of Washington, Tracy of Aurora; Sisters Donna Conrad and Mable Ouade, both of Minnesota; seven grandchildren. I used to know R.J.'s son Tracy. I flew with him a couple times way back when. Tracy ended up a DASH 7 Captain for Rocky Mountain / Continential Express out of Denver. No Idea where Tracy went after they parked the DASH's for good. -Jim Baumann (9/25/00) I'll add it to the info we have on Bob at the Obituary page. -Jake Lamkins (9/25/00) Chuck Stevens and I had a successful trip to Tucson today. We were able to provide a number of items for the prospective Frontier Airlines display. ...so much so that the museum is now contemplating expanding the Frontier display. Chuck has some great color video dating back to the Monarch/Challenger/Arizona Airways days. The museum is, as you might expect, excited about his beautiful 1/8 scale model and the smaller one of N-65276 as well. More history on that airplane surface today when Ron Rosenhahn recalled Bob Bollinger mentioning that he had taken that aircraft from the factory and flown it to the China/Burma/India theater in circa 1941. Please help us put the word out that the museum is looking for more examples of our airline as well as other airlines that flew/fly in and out of Arizona. They are starting a new building for this. The Frontier display will be the prominent display by virtue of the wing from N-65276. Blue Skies & Tailwinds... -Billy Walker (11/29/05) R.J.
