Eckman New Travel Agent 
FLAGSTAFF 
Grand Canyon Travel Agency has been opened in the Monte Vista Hotel. Owner and manager is J. R. Eckman. 
The bureau is a recognized agent for Frontier and several other of the major airlines. Bus transportation and car rentals will be handled. 
The Nava Hopi Tours which runs daily bus service from Flagstaff to Grand Canyon is also represented. 
Eckman has been here with Frontier Airline for three years. 
He was organizer and first president of the Flagstaff Jaycees branch and two years ago was state vice president.

Travel Agency In Flagstaff Changes Hands 
Elmer C. Haver, who moved to Flagstaff last August, has purchased the Grand Canyon Travel Agency 
from Bill Tuckfield and has incorporated under the name of Northern Arizona Travel Service, Inc. 
Tuckfield will continue with Haver as office manager. 
The Havers say they came to Flagstaff because of the climate and the presence here of Arizona State College.

Do not know why the seniority list has him at 4/6/53 and the Jun 1955 newsletter 
lists him as a new hire unless he quit the company then returned. 
He's not on the May 1953 newsletter article of new hires.
Don't have the full Apr 53 or any of the Jun 53 newsletters.
Bill moved to Joseph City, AZ in 1969 per his wife's obituary.
