Just happened to be passing thru Denver and noticed the Obit. Does anyone have more info/background on him such as when/where/how long @ FL? Obituary SCHLOTTHAUER, WILLIAM H. Frontier Airlines/UPS Airlines, 64, William H. Schlotthauer, Sr. Husband of Sharon; and father of William Jr., Linda L. and Paul Clyde Schlotthauer. Bill spent 14 years in the Air Force and Reserve units. After his service years he worked as an airline mechanic. As he furthered his education he worked as an electronics instructor in the DC8 and 727 aircraft for UPS Airlines in Louisville, KY. The family moved back to Aurora in 1998 when he was diagnosed with Alzheimers. Memorial service, Friday 1 p.m., Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3201 S. Parker Road. Services conclude in the chapel. Memorials suggested to the Alzheimers Association, Rocky Mtn Chapter, Denver 80203 or Denver Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec St., Denver 80231. Obit follows. -Jake Lamkins (10/19/02) Bill was an Avionics Supervisor in Denver. Years of service would be a guess, seems to me he came to FAL about 1975 and stayed to the end. Believe he came from Eastern Airlines. Ken Schultz may have documentation on this. Hope this is of some help. -Jim Taylor (10/20/02) I contacted the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, and they provided the information that Bill died October 5, 2002, in Brush, Colorado at the Sunset Manor Home, and was cremated. Bill was a Foreman in the Aircraft Overhaul Dept., and would fill in occasionally in Heavy Check when one of their Foreman were on vacation. Bill was born November 7, 1937, and went to work for Frontier Airlines on August 25, 1977. -Ken Schultz (10/21/02) Mr. Schlotthauer was the supervisor of the Frontier avionics shop in Denver before going to work for UPS in Louisville, KY. -Wally Settgast (10/31/02) Bill was born 11/7/37 and started with FL 8/25/77 in DEN.
