BILL HULL 1951 - 1969 STATION AGENT, ASSISTANT STATION MANAGER, SENIOR STATION AGENT HDL TUL OKC Don Keener told me that Bill died of a heart attack about a year after the merger of CN/FL when he was 35 years old. Harold Maxwell verified it. He was OKC ASM at the time. His name was William Hull. -Jake Lamkins (8/21/10) W E HULL Company seniority date of 8/15/51, TUL, on the 5/18/53 Station Seniority List. The 1/1/62 CN station agent seniority list has William E. Hull as OKC assistant station manager and #3 on the list. There are 25 William E Hulls at the SSDI - none match the year of death or age of Bill. There were 444 William Hulls. The closest I can find is listed above. Websearch turned up nothing. -Jake Lamkins (8/24/10) Posted at the FL Club: I heard at the FYV FSM Reunion that OKC asst manager Bill Hull had died about 1968 of a heart attack at age 35. Does anyone have more info on Bill such as an obituary or the date of death. My search at the SSDI was inconclusive. -Jake Lamkins (8/24/10) Since the FYV CN assistant manager was made a senior station agent when FL took over Oct 1, 1967, I will assume the same thing happened to Bill in OKC. -Jake Lamkins (8/28/10) I was reading about the people who had gone west and came upon a name that I have not thought about for years, Bill Hull. Bill was assistant manager in OKC under Jim Moore when I went to work for Central Airlines, March 6, 1961. I have slept once or twice since those days but this is what I remember Bill telling me. He was from Holdenville, Okla, and if I remember correctly, he said Central used to fly into Holdenville and that he went to work for Central there. Like I said, it has been many, many years since then. Gary Mackey, who also started to work for Central at the same time, might have some info regarding Bill. -Wayne Teakell (10/14/10) HDL, Holdenville, was an original CN destination when service started Sep 15, 1949. The Sep 1, 1951 CN route map shows HDL. It is not on the Apr 26, 1953 CN route map. I've posted a letter mailed on the first flight and the 1953 route map. I suspect Bill went to TUL when HDL closed. -Jake Lamkins (10/14/10) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Bill Hull OKC senior station agent Bill Hull's memorial webpage has been updated at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Bill_Hull.html Several items added to Bill's page but still lack an obituary. -Jake Lamkins (12/22/16) I am William Paul Hull, I am 67 now - my Father was W.E. Hull, Ex Assistant Station Manager Central Airlines OKC. (Becoming Frontier). I have only a few Memories , a shoebox full of items to tell my Grandchildren of their Great GrandFather. I just stumbled onto this Website, Accidentally. I am Not too Proud to say I cried. I wish to tell you words Can Not Express the Thanks for your Work, To see a Webpage display my Father and details about him was Far Beyond what I Ever Expected. Dad went West as you Say when I was 15. And I have only a few items left to remind me, and to pass on. Dad was 36 when a Heart Attack took Him. I Remember all Too well sitting and Watching him Paint Mr. Kahle's Portrait . Listening to him Speak of How He was Part of an Exciting Era of Beginning Passenger Aviation, and how proud he was to be Assistant Station Manager, and what a responsibility it was. I remember hearing him talk about how Jet Aircraft Will Evolve and transform Passenger Aviation into a Stable Mainstay of Human Transportation, Reliable, and Above the Speed of Sound will be commonplace Travel. He was close, during my Lifetime, So Far. I Believe all people should be remembered and Documented for their Grandchildren to Understand where they come from and the Sometimes Remarkable things that their ForeFathers and Mothers have Done. Your Website has Given me Proofs I can Share with Bill Hull’s Great And Great Great Grandchildren that their Great Grandfather did some Remarkable things , and they Could Inspire to be like Him. Thank You for Helping Shape the Future and Preserve the Remembrances of those Gone Before Us . I will Bookmark this site, and Share with my Family for Remembrances of their Much Spoken of Great GrandFather, (by Me) which He, Nor They, Ever Met. If My Health Allows it, I will Visit your Museum in Fayetteville, Arkansas this Summer to take pictures to show my family, of my Father. A Sincere Thank You -William Paul Hull (5/26/22) Hello Paul, Well, sir, you made my day! Thank you for all your kind words. I appreciate them very much. One of the greatest reward I get from my "avocation" as unofficial historian for the Central Airlines and Frontier Airlines employees and their families is hearing from folks whose loss is salved by my efforts. I've been doing this and many other Central/Frontier things since 1997 when I got on the internet. Let me know if there is anything you want to add to your dad's webpage. An obituary would be great and any favorite photos you may have. Be sure to visit my website at http://OldFrontierAirlines.com -Jake Lamkins (5/27/22)
