William Delaney Bill was DEN TT 1978-86 (7/17/19) FLacebook Post Bill Delaney I finally settled in Puerto Rico taking care of my daughter who loved that I worked for Frontier Airlines from her 5th birthday. (7/3/21) FLacebook Mar 1, 2022 Bill Delaney I applied for airline industry jobs for 14 years, moved to Denver and got hired by Frontier with the best group of employees I ever worked with. Jake Lamkins Bill, did you work until the shutdown Aug 24, 1986? Bill Delaney Yes and it took 4 years and a move to Baltimore to get back into the industry. No group of employees were as committed to service and each other like Frontier. DCA and Northwest Airlines employees were a close 2nd when it came to looking out for each other. Jim Hare the station manager at DCA and John Dasburg were like Al Feldman. (3/3/22) FLacebook Bill Delaney Ya'll remember how awesome Frontier Airlines employees were? I get that same caring feeling every time I interact with Navy Federal Credit Union employees and I haven't felt like that since 1986. (12/17/22) FLacebook Bill Delaney 1986 I was making $18 an hour with Frontier. 2006 that decreased to $16.39 when Northwest Airlines merged with Delta and we lost the Union. My brief stay with America West the salary was $7 per hour and $5000 mandatory investment in an ESOP, which we lost when America West filed Bankruptcy. Fortunately I had been working 1 to 9 pm at America West and 10 pm to 6am at Greyhound. I was also selling cargo from DC to Bayonne, New Jersey.
