BILL CASTLEMAN 1965 - 1986 AIRCRAFT MECHANIC MKC GSW DAL DEN Dear Ken (Schultz), I was setting here looking at the list of old FAL folks that have passed on and it dawned on me that I never acknowledge even receiving them much less thanking you for them. It doesn’t seem like that many people fron one organization could be gone this fast but the time has really gotten away from me. I knew more than I thought when I started reading them and I had heard of a lot more. I appreciate so much you sending them to me and I am very grateful to you. I just talked to Ken Hopper last week. I guess you knew that his wife, Carol, passed away also. I’m doing pretty good. I just feel a little older every day. I am recovering from a light stroke but I don’t have any getting around and I don’t hurt because of it. I still have a lot to be thankful for. Thanks again for the list and best wishes to you and yours. -Bill Castleman (3/6/01) Hello folks, Well, here is the latest. I flunked the stress test big time. The Dr. said that my heart was only pumping about 35% of capacity. He said that there were several areas of my heart that were potentials for a heart attack. He said that there was no way that he would release me for back surgery. The next step will be catherization to find out which arteries are plugged up. We are pretty sure it will be a plurality. We won’t be able to do it until next week. I will have to have by-pass surgery before the back surgery. I may never get the back surgery. That is about all that I know at this time. I’ll try to keep you up dated but if You don’t hear from me write me and ask. Thanks, -Bill Castleman (6/1/01) We talked a couple of times in the past about Bill, my father-in-law. Frontier was a big and happy part of his life, so if you still have any contact with any of his old buddies, we'd appreciate it if you'd give them the news.
