BEV ALLISON WEED 1960 - 1962 FLIGHT ATTENDANT DEN I was married to Charlie for 31 years. I met him when I was flying for FAL in the early 60's. I've been around for a long time. :) He was a neat gentleman and we had some fun times, and some funny ones in the DC-3 days. That's still my favorite airplane. I flew some on the 340 and that was it. Couldn't be married and fly in those days. I was given the summer issue to read by Ron Butler because it had Charlie's picture in it. I have that same picture in an album. Thanks again for being in touch and I will look forward to the fall issue of the newsletter. -Bev Weed (8/12/03) Hi Jake, wanted to give you my new address. She was a good friend - she and Charley. We were neighbors in Flower Mound, Texas. We also flew together in the good ole days and played golf. So many memories. -Janet Avakian (10/29/19) Thanks for letting me know, Janet. Hope you are well. -Jake Lamkins (10/29/19) B ALLISON Flight attendant seniority date of 6/25/60 Per the Nov 1961 Flight attendant seniority list. Her obituary says she married pilot Charlie Weed May 21, 1962 so that's when she quit flying. -Jake Lamkins (10/29/19) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Bev Allison Weed I just got word that pilot Charlie Weed's widow Bev flew west in 2017. She was a flight attendant 1960 - 1962. https://ncccremation.com/book-of-memories/2880509/Weed-Beverly/obituary.php -Jake Lamkins (10/29/19) Bev worked for us for several years in Lewisville, Texas. We lost track of her, and would like to know something of her last years and her passing. If you knew her, would you share with me? Thanks so much, -Steve Burton (10/30/19) Hi Steve, Bev was a stewardess at Frontier Airlines, 1960 -1962, when she married pilot Charlie Weed. In those days she had to quit her stewardess job if she got married. Charlie retired in 1980 and died in 1993. I worked at Frontier Airlines too but did not know either of them well. Sorry, I can't fill in any details on Bev's later life. Regards, -Jake Lamkins (10/30/19) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Bev Allison Weed DEN flight attendant Bev Allison Weed's memorial webpage is posted at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Bev_Allison_Weed.html Just recently learned of Bev's flight west two years ago. She married pilot Charlie Weed in 1962 and quit flying. Post your remembrances of her. -Jake Lamkins (11/8/19) Charlie and Bev Weed were my neighbors and friends at Flower Mound, TX. Loved them both. She and I distributed Charlie's ashes from a T-28 over Lake Grandby followed by a Manhattan toast. Lost touch with Bev after she left AZ. May God rest their souls! -David & Martha Cole (11/8/19)
