AL MOSLEY 1953 - 1983 STATION AGENT, SENIOR STATION AGENT, TICKET COUNTER AGENT INW PHX Sorry to report Al Mosley passed on Sun. 12/5/99. Al was agent in PHX , Ginger just called me, if you will please pass it on. -Billy Walker (12/8/99) Theo Leprich, born 1/18/28 and died Mar 1982, started with FL 6/4/56. She, with Ginger Treptow and Murray Price, all with PHXFL, were close to being #1, #2, & #3 on the FL female agent seniority list, system-wide. They were with me here, working as Reservation Agents (We handled PHX & TUS res here) and Ticket Counter Agents along with 15 to 20 gals. I assigned Sr. Agent Al Mosley in charge of the group and he was also excellent. Al had been with TWA-INW and he transferred to FL when FL replaced TW in Winslow (INW). -Cal Reese (1/10/01) I'm sending you what I have. No info on Stu Miller - sorry. Ann Blandford 9/22/90 Don Blandford 11/1/90 Both died suddenly - I don't know the reason or cause. Max Willis 12/22/99, age 83, from complications of alzheimers. Alvin Mosley 12/5/99, age 78, heart attack. -Ginger Treptow, Gilbert, AZ (11/16/02) I started on October 6, 1957 in the Sahara Hotel. Our office was just off the lobby. We were in the heart of downtown. I walked to and from work. The people that were there were Theo Leprich, Shirley Luthke(sp), Wanda Garret, Carol Hollander(Dendy) and our boss was Carl Foster and also Alvin Mosley. -Ginger Treptow (7/27/06) I joined FL in 1957, we were at the Sahara Hotel till the reservations moved to Sky Harbor(Terminal 1) , our office was behind the original ticket counter. Our office and operations were the first one you saw as you entered from the North entrance by the outside baggage area. Al Mosley was the director of reservations and we had a great office in the back room. After a few years they remoted the Res. office to Denver, and because of having enough seniority, I was able to stay in PHX. Then I worked the ticket counter, we moved to the East Wing, and I remained on the counter and the last 5 years I was a STCA and supervisor of the counter staff. -Ginger Treptow (7/27/06) During the early years and until 1967/68, the PHXFL domicle included PHX based pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, reservation office for PHX & TUS, aircraft fueling by station agents, air cargo and airmail, a district sales manager, a regional manager of stations and, of course the stationn personnel interacting with all. PHX was the 2nd largest passenger boarding station. DEN was number 1. Bert Clark (1-1-46), captain, division chief pilot, more all around airline "savvy" than anyone, senior agent cohorts Al Mosley, Max Willis, Vern Crawley, Charley Southerland and later Ginger Treptow and counter/reservation agent Theo Leprich. -Cal Reese (7/14/07) I started with FL in May, 1955 in RKS. Larry Jereb was mgr with Bill Kirkwood, Ray Aho, Bob White, Bob Cady as agents. Had a RON DC3 from DEN so we got to do everything. Was RIF'd to INW in Aug 1955 - Don Boderman was mgr with Don Blanford, Rex Marble, Red Smith as agents and Al Mosley as SSA. Had RON DC3 from PHX there, so once again got to do everything except INW had a fuel man so we didn't have to fuel. Worked with many more, but the memory dims with age. -Don Anderton (4/11/09) A M MOSLEY Station agent seniority date of 5/1/53, emp# 05856, on the 1/1/74 FL/ALEA seniority list. He retired around May, 1983 after 30 years with FL. He had another 8 years with TWA before FL. He is shown as a PHX senior station agent on all the FL rosters I have. -Jake Lamkins (7/25/09) AL MOSLEY 1953 - 1983 STATION AGENT, SENIOR STATION AGENT INW PHX http://FAL-1. tripod.com/ Al_Mosley. html Post your remembrances of Al.
