AJ VANVELDHUIZEN 1984 - 1986 STATION AGENT RNO SCK RE: FL Club FLight West: Ermund Huseth Really very sorry to hear of Ermund's flight west. All of us at Jackass Junction; Roger, Roy, Jim, Tony, AJ, Dave, and Robt E Lee will never forget the man who brought both fun and maturity into our lives. Thanks, my friend! -Al Hepner (12/5/15) What were the last names of the SCK crew you mention. SCK stayed open til the bankruptcy, right? -Jake Lamkins (12/5/15) In addition to Roger Vote, there was Jim McElhany, Tony Aragon, A.J. VanVeldhuizen, Dave Klacik, and Bob Lee. There were several more agents who contributed to our team, but after 30 years I've lost track. Of those mentioned, I believe that Tony, AJ, and Bob have flown west. SCK did remain open until August 1986. -Al Hepner (12/5/15) ALBERT J VANVELDHUIZEN per the Jun 1987 FL/ALEA Payout Records. A J VANVELDHUIZEN Emp# 17499, ORG# 3489-SCK DOH and station agent seniority date of 2/16/84 DOB 6/21/64 per the Oct 1986 FL/ALEA Seniority List. -Jake Lamkins (12/6/15) I did not know AJ VanVeldhuizen had flown west. Do you have any more info on him? -Jake Lamkins (12/7/15) I know A.J. had died unexpectedly around 1990...he was only in his 20's. He had 2 sisters working at Golden Gate Airlines there in SCK. If I can find anything else about AJ, I'll send it you. -Al Hepner (12/7/15) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: AJ VanVeldhuizen RNO SCK station agent AJ VanVeldhuizen's memorial webpage is posted: http://FAL-1.tripod.com/AJ_VanVeldhuizen.html Still need a photo of AJ. -Jake Lamkins (12/12/15) Among my fond memories of the Frontier SCK station are those of AJ VanVeldhuizen. He was a very energetic young man who was passionate about his family, his job, his co-workers, and his friends. He mastered everything from check-in to cargo to weight and balance, as any agent in a small/medium size station can attest. AJ loved life and life loved him, however, he was taken far too soon. All those who knew him enjoyed being around him. God bless you, AJ, rest in peace. I'm attaching a photo which was given by his family. -Al Hepner (12/18/15) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: AJ VanVeldhuizen RNO SCK station agent AJ VanVeldhuizen's memorial webpage is posted: http://FAL-1.tripod.com/AJ_VanVeldhuizen.html Al Hepner sent a photo of AJ. -Jake Lamkins (12/12/15)
