Callaway, Executive Vice President and System General Manager, announced today that Warren H. Schuling has resigned from his position as Vice President-Maintenance and Engineering. "It is with deep regret," stated Mr. Gallaway, "that I report Mr. Schuling's leaving the company. As you know, Warren has proficiently guided the Maintenance and Engineering Department since 1962, when the carrier was a small all-piston aircraft operation, through a most difficult period of fleet changes. Frontier's posture today as an all jet-powered 'mini-trunk' is greatly attributable to the professional ability and dedication of Warren." During the interim period until this position is filled, James Arpey, Vice President-Operational Services, will also assume duties as Acting Vice President- Maintenance and Engineering. Continued cooperation on behalf of all employees will be greatly appreciated with respect to this situation. per the May 1970 Frontier Newsletter -Jake Lamkins (6/28/14) Warren came to Frontier from National Airlines in 1962 when Lew Dymond came to Frontier from National to take over as President from Bud Maytag who had sold Frontier and bought National Airlines. It was a swap of management to some extent. Warren left Frontier and returned to National Airlines in 1970 not long after Dymond stepped down as Frontier president. -Jake Lamkins (7/13/14) FLacebook - FL Club DEN vp-maintenance Warren Schuling's memorial webpage has been upgraded. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Warren_Schuling.html Need a better obituary for Warren. -Jake Lamkins (7/13/14)
