Byrne Inc. to build the Central Hangar and office building, whose revised bid of $1.5 million and 200 working days and asked if the longer construction time endangered the contract with Central. The Mayor said he didn't think so. Councilman Thompson said the "error" of not putting any type of time constraints on the contract motioned that Cain & Cain win the bid and it was voted unanimously. The hangar / office would be financed by revenue bonds. By August first of the same year the hangar and office facility was now one fifth complete. The facility was being financed through revenue bonds at a cost of $1.8 million. Completion was set to be about the same time in 1959. -Cliff Knight (4/10/14) OBITUARY Fort Worth Builder, Thomas Byrne, Dies Fort Worth, Texas. Thomas S.
