Does anyone recall Sally? -Jake Lamkins (1/29/08) Posted at the FL Club: Subject: Sally Schumann obit You can view it at http://www.legacy.com/denver/Obituaries.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonID=101714348 -Jake Lamkins (1/29/08) Sally is not on the 11/4/55 company personnel roster so she started after that date. She started with FL after graduation from high school which would probably have been in 1957 when she was 18. She married in 1959 at age 20 and could no longer fly after that under the stewardess rules at the time. -Jake Lamkins (2/11/08) Jake, if I snail mail you the original of the April 1959 "The Frontiersman" with a small picture and names of Sally Schumann Milligan's graduating class from Frontier Stewardess training and a 5x7 glossy (date on back) of the class along with a return, stamped enveloped, could you return them to me? I really don't want to lose these valuable items yet and would like them back. I am not computer literate so cannot send them that way. I graduated with her and and just maybe we will hear from some of the other 13 girls. Let me know how you prefer this to be handled. -Sarah Wirkner Pensabene (5/13/08) Hi Sarah, I have a copy of the April 1959 "Frontiersman" and will scan the photo. Thanks for bringing it to me attention. Did Sally work just a short time for FL? How long did you work for FL? Send the 5X7 photo with IDs on it. I'll scan it and send back to you. Mark DO NOT BEND on it. Thanks, -Jake Lamkins (5/13/08) Good Morning Jake........according to the Spring 2008 issue she married in Sept. 1959 so if she quit then, her flying time would be about 6 months, a short time. I'll get the picture send within the next few days. -Sarah Wirkner Pensabene (5/14/08) Updated memorial webpage Flight attendant Sally Schumann Milligan: http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Sally_Schumann_Milligan.html -Jake Lamkins (8/4/08) (Photo of the FA Class of Mar 31, 1959) FILLING THE STAIRWELL WITH BEAUTY are the recently graduated Frontier stewardesses (clockwise) Leona O'Day, Pat Romer, Nancy Reynolds, Gwyn Dahlberg, Sarah Wirkner, Linda Nieland, Aynella Severns, Sally Schumann, Mary Leedy, Kay Kamla, Constance Schmidt, Jan Russell (sitting top) and Roberta Rumble (sitting bottom). -Per the Apr 1959 Frontiersman This would be the class of Mar 31, 1959 who started worked on Apr 1, 1959, hence their seniority date of 4/1/59. -Jake Lamkins (11/9/20) Posted at FLacebook Frontier Memorial Webpage Updated SALLY SCHUMANN MILLIGAN 1959 - 1959 FLIGHT ATTENDANT DEN http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Sally_Schumann_Milligan.html Her webpage updated and an item added.
