RON SLATER 1967 - 1986 STATION AGENT DEN BOI Posted at the FL Club: Two station agents have passed away: Ron Slater who worked in DEN & BOI and Jackie Pfeiffer who got famed shooting expert Tom Frye to shoot the outline of a FL 737 for a widely distributed painting. Jim Lane emailed, "Ronald "Ron" D. Slater, 62, of Nampa passed away April 20, 2004 at Holly Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Nampa. Holy Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2004 at St. Paul´s Catholic Church (1515 8th Street South). Graveside rites with military honors will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery of Nampa. Rosary and Vigil Services will be Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel." Al Martenson emailed, "Jackie L. Pfeiffer, 59, of 1601 23rd St. S., a former supervisor for Frontier Airlines, died of complications of heart conditions Saturday (April 24) at Peace Hospice Residence. Services are pending at Schnider Funeral Home." There are lots of bad things about getting older. Thanks very much. I'll be able to use the photo for Ron's webpage. -Jake Lamkins (5/3/04) I got a call yesterday advising me of the passing of J.L. Olsen in BOI. J.L. was a long time employee of Frontier. I know he worked in PHX, WYS and was one of the opening agents when we opened BOI in June of 1979, and worked there until the end. I feel blessed to have known him both as an Employee and a good friend. J.L. was always one you could depend upon to get the job done. I have many happy memories of doing things with him, both at work and away from work. The original BOI gang that opened the station is getting smaller, having already lost Duane Sharp, Ron Slater, Dave Weston, Bob Smith and Moe Osborne.
