The Jul 1973 FL/ALEA Agreement included the clerical craft for the first time.
This was a huge step forward for these underpaid and unprotected folks.
Most of them got substantial raises with the implementation of the contract.
However, several dozen clerical people were exempted from the agreement
due to the "sensitive" nature of their work.
This included executive secretaries, other designated secretaries and all clerical
people in industrial relations, personnel and a few other areas.
Lynn was in this exempted group and was classified as a management person
for pension and benefits.
