LOIS DAVID 1961 - 1986 TICKET COUNTER AGENT DEN Do you have access re Lois David? She stayed overnight with us once in BOI sometime before 1988 when we moved to COS. I know she is dead but don't know when. -Jim Lane (4/18/02) Where did Lois work at FL? I checked the SSDI and there are over 450 folks named that. You can search further if you know where she died, etc. Website is at http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com and well worthbookmarking. -Jake Lamkins (4/19/02) Lois worked ticket counter in DEN when the CN FL merger went thru and as said she was still with with FL when she flew thru BOI in the mid to late 80s. Perhaps somebody who worked with her in DEN during that time would remember her death...... -Jim Lane (4/20/02) Posted at the FL Club Does anybody remember Lois David, DENTT? I've had a query about her and can't help. She was a longtime TCA in DEN and has died since the bankruptcy. -Jake Lamkins (4/21/02) I do....and I KNOW Les remembers Lois.....I didn't know her as well as he did, of course, but I know he was close with Lois.... -Mary Pat Simpson (4/22/02) She was in Denver forever .. but haven't see or heard anything about her since shut down -Hal Fahrenbruch (4/22/02) She was a CSR in Denver..retired before the bankruptcy. I was there when we gave her a clock for a retirement gift. But I heard she passed away and I can't remember how long ago. Eric Mason would probably know that answer. -Jean McDonald (4/23/02) Posted at FL Club Thanks for the help. I remember Lois David too. I found this at the Social Security Death Index: LOIS E DAVID Born 11 Jul 1931 Died 03 Jul 1994 At 80228 (Lakewood, Jefferson, CO) SSN issued in Nebraska Does this appear to be her? It means she was only 50 something when she retired. Is that true? -Jake Lamkins (4/23/02) That sounds right on Lois. She was number 1 on our (DEN) ticket counter seniority list for years and years. -Shirley Shackelford (4/23/02) Yes, that is the right Lois David. She died in Scottsbluff, NE after a month long hospitalization and a brilliant two year battle against breast cancer. She had sold her home in Aurora and become a permanent RV'r before she was diagnosed. She had a funeral service in her home town of Bushnell, NE and a service at Fairmont Cemetery in Denver, where she is buried. I am sorry I do not have her obituary. I spent a lot of time with Lois while she was selling her home in Aurora, undergoing chemo in Denver and she visited us in NE. Those who remember Lois from FL days would be amazed to see her after chemo; her hair grew back "curly". She was a great friend and fellow employee. I still miss her friendship. -Barbara Turner (4/23/02) L E DAVID Ticket counter agent seniority of 4/10/61, emp# 01741, on the 3/1/62 and 1/1/86 FL/ALEA Seniority Lists. Lorraine Martinez Page She was so sweet❣ Trish Swanson-Hawk Lois was very nice to work with, RIP Ginger Treptow Always friendly and a good TCA! Ron Herring I remember Lois very well because in 82 Don Anderson and myself were bumped out of TCA jobs in TUS and were sent to DEN. Lois had been #1 TCA for a long time so when we got there I was the new #1 and Don was #2 TCA agents. We were not too welcome there by a few TCAs until they saw we bid middle of the week days off. Anyway, it was nice to get out of TUS summer heat for the summer. "Thanks very much". I left DEN in a blizzard that fall which became one of the worst storms there. Ron Herring Yes, Ginger, she was a very nice sweet lady. I saw on the 86 D agent group list you were #6 and I was #9 Lois David was #20 RIP Lois. (1/18/23)
