LINDA EMLEY 1981 - 1986 RESERVATIONS AGENT MCI SLC I am a former Frontier person that worked in MCI and SLC. I would like to get in touch with some of my old friends from the Res office. We do have a reunion here in Kansas City every year. I would like to see more old res agents come and join the MCI counter folks . I am also looking for a pilot from DEN Frontier, Al Beardsley. My father and Al were friends and my dad would like to get back in touch with him. Last we knew , Al and his wife Susan were in North Carolina. Thanks in advance, Linda L. Emley (12/30/06) Hi Linda, I'll check around on Al but I'm thinking he was in TN last I heard. -Jake Lamkins (12/31/06) Thanks for the quick reply. I did find a phone number for AL in Tenn. I gave it to my dad and he is going to try and call them. My dad thought they were still in NC. My dad always gets Christmas card from AL. He did not get one this year so he was worried. My dad is in his late 70s and had a minor stroke this past summer. He has been a little depressed because he can not travel as much as he has in the past. He made the statement that Al may think he is dead since he did not send a Christmas card. I think it will do him lots of good to hear from Al again. My current company, Worldspan is the CRS for NW and DL . We were started by TWA many years ago when we were called PARS. We had flight passes till this past JULY . It is very hard to live with out flight benefits. I have 19 years here ,but I may look for another job due to the lack of passes. It is hard to give them up when you have had them all of your adult life. I am sure you understand. I was Linda Emley when I started at Frontier. I worked for them over 5 years. ( 1981 to 1986 ) I was in Kansas City Res and when it closed. I then commuted to SLC res for a couple of years. I had many friends in Denver and spent a lot of time there. I got married and I was Linda Weber when Frontier died in 1986. I got married a few months before Frontier closed up , so I am not sure if I was ever listed as Linda Weber. My dad did not work for Frontier , but they spent lots of time flying around . They met Al on a flight once and they stayed in touch. My dad always went to Oskosh. I think Al went with them there once or twice. I think there was also a trip to Alaska one year. Do you have any info about Frontier retirement ? I was vested and in the past I got info about it now and then. I have lived at the same address for 30 years so I know they just stopped sending me out info. I was in some kind of class action suit with Peoples Express due to Frontier. I had purchased some full fare tickets that I did not get to use and they owed me some back money. I had not gotten any info on that for along time. I also had a grevience with Frontier that I won and I never did paid back for. I think it was in the same class action suit as my People Express suit. Peoples Express was the death of us. I remember commuting thru DEN and see all the "bag" people getting off the NYC- DEN People's flights. Sorry for the long letter, I am working nights and it is a very boring Saturday night here in Kansas City :) -Linda Emley (12/31/06) L L EMLEY Seniority date of 6/22/81, emp # 17044, on the 1/1/86 FL/ALEA seniority list. -Jake Lamkins (12/31/06) My dad found AL.... It really made his day to get to talk with his old buddy. He said he is flying one more year and then he gets to retire. I think he is still at UPS. Thanks again, -Linda Emley (1/2/07) Posted at Facebook: I worked FL res in KC for 3 years and then moved to SLC res for 2 yrs. I was there till the end. I flew out of MCI to SLC every monday morning and then back to KC every Friday night. Sometimes I would fly to DEN overnight to party with my DEN res friends. Oh the good ole days :) I have worked the past 21 yrs for PARS/W...ORLDSPAN/TRAVELPORT. I got the ax with a down size last year. I loved my 5 years with Frontier. My parents and my boys got to see many wonderful things for $2.50 each way :) Some Saturday mornings we would get up and fly to DEN for the day. Steak and eggs on the way there. Casa Bointas for lunch. Hit the DEN National History Museum and then have Steak and Lasgana on the way home. My boys were very popular when we got to take friends on the Buddy passes to Disneyland. We always came back through LAS and spent a night at CIRCUS CIRCUS. -Linda Emley (12/2/09) Posted at Facebook: Rudy Castillo and I worked together in SLC res. He later moved to DEN and was my Wed nite party planner. We have stayed in touch and have seen many changes over the years. At least now he can have a drink when we go out.... it was really fun going out with a 18 yr old in Utah .... could not leagally drink :) -Linda Emley (12/3/09) LOL!! I love it - remember sitting at Denny's in SLC until 3 am drinking coffee after work? -Rudy Castillo (12/3/09) Does anyone remember when some one in Denver was sending out messages the last few days that were labeled, " the sword of Damocles" .... I have copies somewhere in my collection. We thought it was DEN and it was going out to all the teletype machines. I got a copy from the machine at the SLC res office." --Linda Emley (4/18/11) L L EMLEY DOB 11/29/56 per the Dec 1984 Pension Records. -Jake Lamkins (11/29/14) Am so sorry to share that Linda Martin Emley passed away last evening. Her Dad would come to MCI to meet her and bring fresh produce from their farm. Too young. -Rose Dragen (3/24/18) Here is a picture of Linda at one of our Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp Meetings. She always traveled with the Captain, "Bloody Bill Anderson," when she traveled to her meeting where she was speaking. Lovely lady, she will be missed.. -Ken Edmondson (3/24/18) I worked with Linda in MCI and SLC. She loved traveling the world. So sad. -Bob Hooper (3/25/18)
