LARRY MUSSELMAN 1961 - 1986 STATION AGENT TOP FOE DEN You can add Lawrence (Larry) Musselman to the obituaries. He was with Central/Frontier in Topeka until it closed and then worked Denver until the end. Worked mostly ramp and airfreight in DEN. I don't know how many years he was with the compamy but was at least 25. He passed away in Feb 94. One of the nicest and ornriest guys you could ever work with. -Neil Wickstrum, Manhattan, Ks (8/15/99) L H MUSSELMAN Station agent seniority date of 3/06/61, emp# 05916, per the 1/1/86 FL/ALEA Seniority List. -Jake Lamkins (3/29/12) Lawrence H. Post your remembrances of Larry. -Jake Lamkins (3/31/12) What a great friend "Muss" was to everyone he met. He was big and intimidating in appearance but he was a teddy bear at heart. He was always there to help people no matter what! He was an excellent mechanic and was always working on someone's vehicle and he wouldn't charge to do it. My family and his were very close. I didn't make it back to Topeka very often after I left but whenever I did, I made sure to look him up. He was a heavy smoker and had lost one lung to cancer and I had heard that is what finally took his life. We played golf frequently, we weren't very good until we got to the 19 hole. One day "Muss" was teeing off and shanked the ball directly into my knee cap. He felt so bad but even though it hurt like hell all I could do was laugh! There was no way you could get mad at him. -Tom Schmidt (3/31/12) I was only in Topeka a little over a year but "Muss" was one of those individuals that everyone loved to be around. I agree with Tom's comments. Couldn't ask for better employee & friend!! -Jim Mustain (4/2/12) What a great individual. Muss was my training instructor when I started in TOP in 1966. I was too scared of him to make mistakes. Later on, after probation, he worked an am shift and I was on nights. We used to call him up and let him know the last flight was on the ground, just to wake him up. He threatened but never really got mad. -Jim Meade (4/3/12) Here are the photos I promised of Larry Musselman that I finally found today. I may have some of other Topeka employees from around that time. -Tom Schmidt (6/15/12) Posted at FLacebook and the FL Club: TOP FOE DEN station agent Larry Musselman's memorial webpage is updated. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Larry_Musselman.html Tom Schmidt sent some pix of Larry.
