KEN BYERS 1957 - 1986 STATION AGENT LNK The FLamily at Lincoln, Nebraska had a great time at a 20 year reunion on October 7, 2006. We met at The Steak House in Lincoln and had a great meal of Nebraska steaks and other fabulous food. There was much reminiscing and stories told (not all lies) and a great time was had by all. It was great to see all the FLamily again after 20 years. Some of us are still in the Lincoln area and several others came in from distances away. We all try to keep in touch and voted to do this again in two years. Gone West and in remembrance are: Dean Fisher, Jimmy Zelesky, Oran Kennedy, James Ashley, Larry Witkowski and Marlon Agena. He was 76 years of age Born Dec 14, 1935 passed away Apr 16th 2012. He was in Lincoln most of his career until Frontier shut down then he worked for CO untl they left Lincoln. Finished his career as a custodian for Lincoln Public Schools 10 months a year then retired and worked as Handyman for an Apt and rental housing investment person. He loved Branson MO and went several times each year. His Memorial Service will be Saturday April 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. He loved the airlines and said he still had dreams of still working for Frontier. Born December 18, 1935 in Oil City, Pennsylvania to John and Isabelle(Seth) Byers. U. S. Army Veteran. He was an agent for Frontier Airlines for 30 years. After his retirement he was a custodian at Meadow Lane Elementary School. Ken was a supporter of the National Rifle Association (NRA), a member of the American Legion Post #3, did work for the Havelock Association and was a former golfer. He loved babysitting, fishing and trips to the candy store with his grandchildren; enjoyed having breakfast with his friends and loved trips to Branson. I worked with KB in Lnk when I first went to work for Frontier. He and his family also went to Hawaii with our group in the 80s. He was a great guy to work with. One of the best memorials ever went to and it was a great military salute to an old Army Vet. KB would have been proud to know had so many friends who showed up and the service given. We all called him "K.B.". I'm not sure where else "K.B." worked on Frontier system, but do know he was in LNK for many years. -Ken Houchens (4/30/12) On my visits to LNK I always looked forward to getting together with K.B. at Hy Vees for breakfast.
