At the Craig Bar, aka Joe's Bar, locals often take turns serving beer. 
Today's customer may be tomorrow's bartender in a true sense of pitch-in community spirit. 
And the till and the inventory always come out right. 
A prominent sign inside the door reads 
"Per Joe, NO MORE dogs allowed in the Craig Bar. Dog gone." 
Though nearby, three dogs are lying on the floor or hunkered in next to a few locals, 
taking up what the canines regard as their rightful place in the bar. 
There's a certain rhythm here - the true laid-back soul of Montana.

Uncle Joe RIP
Uncle Joe passed away a couple days ago.
He will be missed.
Spent lots of time in the Craig Bar, Uncle Joe's Bar. 
Dancing, drinking, conversing, solving the World's problems.
Thanks, Joe Duvall. Rest in Peace.

I first walked into Joe's bar in 1990 to grab a drink,
but Joe handed me a guitar and said I had to play something before he would serve me!

Joe's bar is an icon, as is Joe. 
Took my daughter fishing for her 14tn Birthday on the 14th of Feb 2016 and the only food in town , 
fittingly, were frozen brats and potato chips from Joes's that day - perfect. 
We had a great lunch trip. Cheers to Joe, Rest in peace, good friend of the valley.

My condolences to the family!
I really liked Joe. 
We became friends many years ago when he used to give yodellng lessons on Wednesday 
nights during the winter of about 1998-99-all winter. 
We never yodeled once!
