I just wanted to inform everyone that Denver Mechanic Jim Lengyel passed away unexpectedly on Feb 14, 2015 in Gastonia, NC.
I worked with Jim in Denver and he was one of the first FAL mechanics hired with Piedmont Airlines after the 1986 shutdown. 
They were so impressed with him that it opened the door for many more mechanics to get hired on with Piedmont. 
Jim retired about a year ago at age 69. He frequently visited Colorado all of these years. 
I have attached a copy of the Gastonia Gazette obituary. 
I will try to find a picture and send it or maybe one of the other guys here at Piedmont/Usairways/American airlines has one.
