J D JETTE Emp# 12558 M DOB 6/24/49 Term Vol Per the Dec 1984 Fronter Pension Records. Looks like he quit in the Nov/Dec 1984 period. The Nov/Dec 1975 article makes it sound like he started then. -Jake Lamkins (6/12/19) I worked for Bruce Olson at CO. Bruce and Jim were friends but apparently had drifted apart. I'm forwarding you his original message to me on Facebook. "Jim Jetty died last week. Thought you should know if you don't already. His body seemed to just shut down from what I am hearing." He died on Sunday June 2 at Kingwood Hospital, cause not fully known and because of that there is an autopsy in process. He had apparently been admitted about 3 weeks before for reasons I don't know but suspect some kind of stroke or exhaustive shutdown. He went rapidly downhill from there, went sepsis 4 days into it all and was immobile and non responsive as his body proceeded to shutdown... -Bonnie Bias (6/13/19) Thanks for all the info, Bonnie. I'll be building a memorial webpage for him at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/ObitsMgmt.html Jake Lamkins (6/13/19) Ok. Sorry info is so little but figured little was better than none. I lost touch after I went to Guam with Continental Micronesia. But I am sure Bruce will let me know if/when orbit is available. -Bonnie Bias (6/13/19) I have no information on obituaries or services. There should be a remembrance in Texas in July and one in New York in Aug. If I hear something I will pass it along. Jim was found passed out in the street 2 doors away from his house, his truck had a flat tire and was in the middle of the street. He was coming home from work. They got him up and in the house. They called for an ambulance when he passed out again a few hours later. He never woke up again during 3 weeks in ICU at hospital. Everything they tested for came back negative. There is no cause of death yet. -Jay K Holt (6/14/19) Linked In Jim Jette Sr. Manager USA Industries, Inc. September 2008 to Present: 10 years 10 months South Houston, Texas Area Company Advisor and Special Projects for President/CEO A preview of what LinkedIn members have to say about Jim: Jim is a guy who makes things happen. I have known him for 30 years and seen him plan and execute the development of a complete airline flight kitchen in Detroit MI, manage airline food service contracts for a major global airline in Minneapolis and later in Houston TX. I have watched him transition into other fields from the airline industry and prove his project management skills for 20 years. Jim is a "doer" not an analyst but he brings strong analytical skills and plain common sense to whatever it is that he is working on. We worked together in adjacent divisions at both Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines a long time ago but since that time we have kept in close contact. -https://www.linkedin.com/in/jimjette (6/21/19) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Jim Jette DEN manager-dining & cabin services Jim Jette's memorial webpage is posted at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Jim_Jette.html Need an obituary and a better photo.
