JIM CHARBONNEAU 1967 - 1986 STATION AGENT, SENIOR STATION AGENT DEN BOI Haven't seen Dave W for maybe 6-7 years. Last I knew he was working for computer maker Hewlit-Packard. There was an FL get-together a couple three years ago, but I was unable to get there. Sorry to see that Mo Osborne has died. And of course Jim Charboneau who was also here (also opened BOI with us) has died. Roger Sorrensen, the Station Mgr, I have heard, is now running DEN for the new Frontier. Roger was one of the managers who was termed when the employee buyout group insisted. -Ron Slater (9/22/00) I hadn't heard that Jim died. I intend to publish a list of those who've died in the newsletter. Can you give me some details such as date, age, cause, where he worked at FL? -Jake Lamkins (9/22/00) I guess it was 5-6 years ago that Jim Charbonneau died. He started with Frontier as an agent same time as I did, May 1967. Previously he had worked for some other airline as a flight engineer. He worked at DEN station until 1979 when he helped opened BOI station in June. Jim returned to Denver, and worked again as a flight officer. He died from cancer. I wish I could tell you more. Jim had just one child, a daughter, who sometimes came to Boise to stay with him. Jim was a real decent guy who had much good-will for everyone. I am going to pass this along to Larry Middleton, maybe he can help with dates and a more accurate account. -Ron Slater (9/22/00) Social Security Death Index: JAMES CHARBONNEAU Born 08 Sep 1943 Died 04 Apr 1993 Age 49 80011 (Aurora, Adams, CO) SSN issued in Colorado -Jake Lamkins (9/22/00) Yes that's Jim Charbonneau. I have sent Larry Middleton e-mail to see if he can add or give more exact information on what I have told you. Did you know that Dave Richards is gone? This, too, is a few years back. Dave also started with Frontier about the same time Jim and I did, and moved from DEN to SEA station when it opened. I was told he shot himself. Never heard more. -Ron Slater (9/22/00) Posted at FL Club: Just got word that Jim Charbonneau died in 1993. He started as an agent in DEN in 1967 then went to BOI in 1979. I understand he may have returned to DEN and become a pilot. Does anyone have more info. Jim was 59 when he died of cancer. -Jake Lamkins (9/25/00) Jake, just read the msg about Jim C. I worked in Denver with a Charbonneau, but don't think his first name was Jim. Can't remember exactly -(Alzheimers) but I think the agent I worked with was Frank Charbonneau. Not sure. Anywho, the C that I worked with was an agent in DEN--know for sure he was never a pilot. -Bill Fleming (10/4/00) I think his name was Jim, he used to hang out with Trabert and was SSA. I worked with JD in tower pm shift and used to yak on radio with him. -Ron Abfalter (10/4/00) His name was definitely Jim Charbonneau. I worked with him for a couple of years in Boise before tranfering out. He was a really nice soft spoken kind of guy.
