Irene Replogle was chief stewardess & Ellie Bastar was #1 in seniority.
At least one pilot (I think ex-Navy) did not believe that women 
or ladies should be allowed to work on an airplane.
So we had to slide the flight papers under the bulkhead door.
We were not allowed in the cockpit except to access the commissary.
We felt lucky if we were allowed to ride into town with him.

She is shown as chief stewardess and 
supervisor of FL passenger service in the 1950 article that Donna Mans sent.
The 1948 CHA roster does not show her nor does the 11/4/55 FL Personnel Roster.
She may have married in 1953 per obituary below.

He had lived in Colorado Springs since 1974 and was a former resident of Billings. 
Mr. Stadtmiller attended the University of Nebraska. He was the recipient of the

(Article and photo). Photo shows Challenger Airlines Chief Stewardess Irene Replogle, burning the
company mortgage. . . . R.C. Wilson, executive vice president of the First Security Bank of Utah, Salt Lake
City, and Donald A. Duff, president of Challenger Airlines, are interested spectators. The First Security
Bank financed the original purchase of the DC-3 aircraft used by the airline..

Irene married Neil Stadtmiller on Dec 12, 1953
so that is when her career ended with Frontier Airlines.
She is not on the Jul 15, 1948 Challenger Employee Directory.
The earliest reference I find to her employment is a
Sep 1948 item so I will assume
she started in 1948 until info to the contrary is received.
Another undated article says she came from Continental Airlines
where she had worked in customer service and as a stewardess.

Irene was a Challenger stewardess who headed up the program
when Frontier was formed in 1950 and the Monarch stewards
were replaced with stewardesses.
I just recently tracked her down on the internet.
She left Frontier Dec 12, 1953 when she married.
