I'm pretty sure that is Carl Willman on the right and the one on the left looks very familiar - just can't pin a name of him. Any help appreciated. -Jake Lamkins (4/10/14) That is Carl Willman -Edgar Allen (4/10/14) It is Harold Ruppel. He was a well organized person, talented, bright but very opinionated.. Shouldn't say that but it was a trade mark. -Stu Hammersmark (4/10/14) Thanks, Stu, did he go by Harold or Harry? -Jake Lamkins (4/10/14) I only knew him as Harold. -Stu Hammersmark (4/12/14) I have an addition to the Old Frontier Airlines Obituaries. I thought you would like it to add to the FAL Obituary section. Many good words were said about his years at Frontier during the memorial service. -Bill Buse (8/18/14) Frontier Pictures These are some pictures that I received in the mail yesterday and scanned last night. One picture is Harold Ruppel standing behind a Frontier Airlines MD-80. With the way the engines are taped up, I suspect this picture was taken after Frontier stopped flying in August 1986. One picture is Harold Ruppel (on the right) and Leo Schuster (on the left) standing in front of one of the 737-200s around the mid 1980s. One picture is Harold Ruppel (in the middle), Dallas Mortenson (on the left) and another unknown Frontier Airlines employee standing by the first Boeing 727-100 that was delivered to Frontier Airlines in the 1960s. I thought you would enjoy seeing these and maybe add them to the Frontier photo collection -Bill Buse (2/11/15) FLacebook - FL Club DEN director-inspection Harold Ruppel's memorial webpage has been updated. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Harold_Ruppel.html Three photos added -Jake Lamkins (3/10/15) Bill Buse My step-father, Harold Ruppel, went on to work for Continental for a little while. He found working there was nothing like working at Frontier and decided it was time to retire. (7/29/16) Bill Buse My stepfather, Harold Ruppel, standing by an MD-80 after the shutdown. After Frontier shut down he seemed like he had lost a good friend. Carey Hunter Yes, it was a sad day for Harold. I worked for him for a number of years in Quality Control/Inspection and the guys used to call him "Judge Ruppel." Bill Buse I have heard about the Judge name. (8/24/20) Larry Vann Yes, he was a tough Judge, but fair, one of the many really great people of FAL (8/25/20)
