I remember, when it looked like I was going to be elected MEC chairman, approaching Gerry to see if he would be willing to undertake that task. Goss was certainly more qualified than I was. He showed his intelligence by refusing! -Billy Walker (4/11/06) With regret and with apologies for this late news...the Gone West of Capt. Gerry Goss on 15 August. Gerry held numerous positions with ALPA over the years: LEC Chairman, MEC Chairman and was elected an ALPA VP in 1967. -Jake Lamkins (9/20/07) Gerry Goss will be missed. He was one of the people responsible for making Frontier such a memorable place to work. -Steve Burger, sburger@14wfie.com (9/20/07) I first met Gerald "Gerry" Goss when he flew as a First Officer on a CV340, and later on a CV580 through Gunnison (GUC). 'Gerry" went on to enjoy an illustrious Flight career in FAL as a Captain flying our most prestigious Aircraft. Having preceded "Gerry" by more than a few years into the Masonic Fraternity, I was delighted to be present when he received all of his "Blue Lodge" degrees in his Lodge in Aurora, CO. If memory serves me correctly, prior to joining Frontier Airlines, Gerry was a Pilot for "Capital Airlines" which "United Airlines" merged into it's system in the early Nineteen Sixties. Gerry's election to not stay with UAL but to go out west & cast his lot with Frontier Airlines was indeed a marvelous & fortuitous stroke of luck for both himself & our Airline. We both profited immensely by his astute decision ! -Bob Pearson (11/22/07)
