GUESTBOOK FOR GENE MARTIN -http://www.legacy.com/BillingsGazette/GB/GuestbookView.aspx?PersonId=86227292 February 9, 2007 I extend my deepest regrets to you in the loss of your father. Gene touched my life in a special way in the 3 months I had the priviledge of knowing him. His deep faith in God became more evident as time went on. I am so sorry I was not able to attend the Vigil and Funeral Liturgy. I am certain it was a wonderful celebration in his style for all of you to cherish. Hold on to the great gifts your father gave each of you. I am so thankful he was willing to let us know that he wanted to have communion when he could no longer attend Mass. I will keep you all in my prayers. Kathy Lombardozzi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- February 4, 2007 Dear family members, So sorry for your loss. I had the privelege to work with Gene in Billings from 70 thru 79 and was always impressed by his freindship and honesty and sense of fairness to all. Gene made a frame for me and was just starting to make frames and asked me what he should call his frame business. The frame had a rusty bent nail in one side. I said call it the rusty nail frame shop, I still have the frame and won't let it go. Vern Russell (St. Anthony, ID ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- February 3, 2007 My deepest sympathies are extended to Gene’s family and friends. I had the privilege of working with Gene during his Continental years in Billings. Not only was he an amazing teacher, but told wonderful stories of his beautiful Caroline and the family he treasured, growing up in Lefor and the latest projects he was working on. The attached photo was taken Gene's last day in the airline industry. He was truly a blessing to all who met him. The plague (in the photo) said “E.F. MARTIN - FOR ‘DUMPING’ 38 YEARS INTO THE AIRLINE INDUSTRY - 1994”. KC Bobolz (Oak Creek, WI ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- February 3, 2007 To the family of Eugene Martin. It was with great sorrow to hear of the passing of Gene. I remember so well when I hired Gene as an agent for Frontier Airlines in Wolf Point and then continued to watch his great success with the airline. He will be greatly missed during the reunions in Lefor and it was there when I last had a chance to visit with him. I am sorry I am unable to attend his services, but with the Mayors job in Douglas, I will be in meetings that day. Love, Jim & Rose Schneider Jim Schneider (Douglas, WY ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- February 2, 2007 Our hearts and sorrow go out to the entire Martin family. Losing a parent, grandparent or great grandparent is never an easy task. May you find peace in the thought that he is now with his beloved wife and no longer suffering from illness that has plagued him for so long. Our thoughts and prayers are with you every day. DJ, Vicki, Jason, and Alecia, we know life will never be the same without your Dad and your Grandfather. Be comforted with the good memories and love that you shared throughout your life. You had a very special relationship that will live on no matter what. Your friends, Ken and JoAnn Callahan JoAnn Callahan (Bismarck, ND ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- February 2, 2007 To the family of Gene.. I had the opportunity to work with your Father several years ago when we both worked for Frontier Airlines in Billings. He was always so helpful and that was appreciated by his fellow employees. He will be missed by not only his family and close freinds, but also people like me who have fond memories of knowing him. Loren Holmgren (Clancy, MT ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- February 2, 2007 To Gene's family we offer our deepest sympathy and prayers. We have known Gene since he was the Frontier Airlines Manager in Miles City and he would loan us his car to run downtown to eat. We continued our friendship when he moved to Billings. You can be proud of Gene. He was a true gentleman. Jim and Pam Currie (SC ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- February 1, 2007 Our sympathy goes out to Gene's children and grandchildren. We knew him through work at Frontier Airlines. He was unable to attend the FAL reunion in Billings this summer and we had a date to go to lunch shortly thereafter but Gene had to cancel as he wasn't feeling up to it. May your memories of him be blessed.
