ELAINE LILLO YARISH 1946 - 1952 AND 1973 - 1986 CLERK, ACCOUNTING CLERK DEN Posted at the FL Club: MON/FL employee Elaine Lillo Yarish has died. Her obituary is at http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/denverpost/obituary.aspx?n=elaine-yarish&pid=153742596&fhid=4385 The obituary says she worked twice for FL after her Monarch days. And she is on the 2011 DENFL Reunion mailing list. She was also on the ESOP Lost List for awhile so it seems she worked at FL at the end. Does anyone know where/when/postion she worked at MON and FL? -Jake Lamkins (9/26/11) I am writing to inform you that my Mother, Elaine M. Yarish passed away last September 18, 2011. Please inform any members you might feel would like to have this information. Mom loved working at Frontier and loved the picnics she attended for the reunions. Thank you for continuing to facilitate these gatherings. I am sure they mean more to many people than might be supposed. Sincerely, -Gayle Yarish Malik (7/16/12) Hi Gayle, Thanks for contacting us. Your mom's Frontier memorial webpage is at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Elaine_Lillo_Yarish.html When did she work at Monarch and Frontier and in what positions? Email anything you wish added to her webpage. With sympathy, -Jake Lamkins (7/16/12) I am answering from memory and don't have anything to verify my answers but here goes! My Mother, Elaine Yarish, worked at Monarch from 1949 to 1952. Back when they were starting out I don't think there were defined jobs as such. Everyone did what was needed. Mom worked in the office, tickets, billing, receivables, typing - whatever. She knew everyone - the pilots, mechanics, office staff - I don't think there were flight attendants yet, as there were only like 25 people working there at the time. Mom went back to Frontier in 1973 and her primary job was to account for what portion of ticket moneys was due to Frontier. (I think). I remember her bringing home thousands of tickets and all her kids helping her put them in numerical order, then pulling those that ended in zero for verification and cross-checking. Later her specialty was in International tickets and billing. She worked there (and got me a temporary job in heavy maintainence in 1981 or so) until Frontier merged with Continental and was told if she wanted to stay with Frontier she would have to move to Texas. She declined the move. She loved the people, the job, the benefits - the whole kit-and caboodle. We were able to travel quite a bit because of her job, so I appreciated more than I can say - even as a teenager who knew everything! When Frontier had Steak & Lobster dinners on board, we once took a flight to Dallas/Ft. Worth just for the meal !!! -Gayle Yarish Malik (7/19/12) E M YARISH Accounting clerk seniority date of 4/10/73, emp# 11448, per the 1/1/86 FL/ALEA Seniority List. -Jake Lamkins (7/19/12) Posted at FLacebook and the FL Club: The memorial webpage for DEN accounting clerk Elaine Lillo Yarish has been updated. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Elains_Lillo_Yarish.html I found two articles about Elaine from 1952.
