I was shocked that I knew so many of my fellow workers that have died.  
There are 2 that I know of that were omitted.
First is Donald Jansen - station manager at Topeka, KS.
He died in auto accident about 6 months after the merger of Central Airlines.
Second is Myron Kamarad of PHX-SNA & SAN.  Died of cancer 3-4 years ago.
Also Gordon White information - killed in accident 6-26-83, 
39 years old, 3 days shy of 40.  I was pallbearer at his funeral.

I began my career with Central in TOP in September, 1966, as a station agent. 
Don Jansen was our Station Manager. 
He was later killed in a car accident while leaving the station. 
In 1970, Del Zimmerman and I transferred to DEN. 
I was in DEN during the shutdown. 
Frontier was one of the best experiences of my career. 
I miss the company and all the great friends I made.

Don was killed in a car wreck after leaving work in May 1968.

I was on duty that day in TOP when Don was killed. 
We were scraping paint from bag carts and not making much progress. 
Don decided to go to a hardware store and get some paint remover. 
The car accident was at the first intersection outside the airport. 
A young kid ran a stop sign and t-boned Don. We were all in shock. 
Wayne Brickey was the senior station agent on duty that terrible day. 
Don was a good manager and friend.

Donald Wiert married Sharon Houghton and had 2 children. 
He passed away on 21 May 1968 in Topeka, Kansas.
