Either Don had some non-mechanic time with the company
or Schultz' database is incorrect.
Both the 11/1/74 and 11/1/76 FL/IAM Seniority Lists show 
Don's seniority date as 1/15/57 which corresponds with the 
22 years service listed in the Retirements article.
Schultz is usually reliable so I'll assume Don's start date is 1947
and he was in a non-mechanic position, until more info is received.
