Or ask him for some details such as years Richard flew with us, etc. Thanks, -Jake Lamkins (5/18/01) I'll see what I can find out, Jake. I'm not sure how he found me, as I don't know him. Going through his log books I can find the following information: 11/28/1954 , DC-3,N19937, Meacham -Local, 40 minutes, check flight, Central Airlines, Del Booth, 3 t/o and landings. Up til then the largest plane I can find in his logbook is a Cessna 170. Then Convairs, both piston and turbine including the ultimate prop , the 580. Then on 9/6/73, DEN-local,B-737,ck ride OK / Bill Madsen FAA. Then the end...1/23/75 , MCI, CV 580 sim. Ron Confer.... the entry just says..."Airline End" Dad did go on a fly for some other outfits, DC-3's Convairs , light twins. He and Peggy flew in Florida for a few more years. They were able to hold on to the beloved SeaBee , N6458K. With Dads failing health even the 'Bee had to go. Someday I plan to get it back and once again fly over Eagle mountain Lake the way we spent so many wonderful hours ... -West and Rand Sanders" (6/6/01) I've been updating your dad's Frontier webpage with the info that Darrell sent me from you. I still don't have your dad's date of birth & death. It would be great if you could send a photo too. To see how I've set up other pages with photos, take a look at the latest one: http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Chick_Stevens.html Any info you want to provide would be appreciated. -Jake Lamkins (6/9/01) Thanks for getting back to me... Dad's stats are 10/13/27 to 2/2/01 -West Sanders (6/10/01) (The photo is) my Dad, William (Bill) Macleod (ex-Frontier/Central,also deceased) and Tom Danaher. (The 2nd is Dad & Me a few years ago.) -West Sanders (6/17/01) Today,Monday, I had the pleasure of having lunch with the DFW bunch of Retired Frontier Pilots Association.... Robert Parcell had been keeping me informed as to when the very informal get-togethers were.. This was the first one I had been able to make... I saw a couple of good friends there,George Ceshker and Dave Dodd, and met the rest of the group... As you can imagine there were lots of great flying stories and retelling of events back when these great aviators were flying the airline... I took some "new" Frontier postcards and 7th birthday info sheeets... I also took Dad's logbooks... It was great seeing the pilots look for their names in there.. Dad logged each crew member's name... Most of them came up and told me some story about flying with Dad.. Even the pilot that took flying lessons from Dad at Aero Enterprises. I will be going back to the luncheons since they let me join the Association. -West Sanders (7/16/01) Capt. Richard Sanders was the originator of "The Seabee Club International Newsletter". The first volume was published April 1984 and appealed to Bee Owners to share their experiences flying his "favorite wind-wagon". At that time, Capt. Sanders was southern director for the "Seaplane Pilots Association" and longtime pilot for "Central Airlines" and its successor "Frontier Airlines". -Internet: THE INTERNATIONAL REPUBLIC SEABEE OWNERS CLUB http://www.republicseabee.com/Honorary.html (5/19/03) Where all were Dick & Bill based? -Jake Lamkins (2/6/06) Sanders was based mostly at Ft.
