Sad! Dennis and I flew several flights together.. With sad regret: Frontier / Continental pilot Dennis McCright....Flew West Today The following came from Sally Able and Bob Folken: Dennis McCright Gone West today from a mid-air around 2 PM. Apparently, he was flying his RV-6 in formation. Hopefully, Joe, Sally, Dick Stevens or Dick Kardell will let us know the arrangements. The reports are still coming out but the crash was just south of Huntsville in the forest not in the north end of the lake; the other pilot was able to land in a field and only suffered burns on his arms. Dick Kardell was also flying with the group of 7; all homebuilt RV's. They had done an honor flyover the lake this morning. Dick Stevens stayed home today and wasn't with the group. Dennis had taken Lori to the airport this morning for a flight to Philadelphia; she is on her way back now. Will let you know more when I have info. -Sally Dennis, Butch Carr, Dick Kardell, and Dick Stevens along with others were/are in a great group called The Lonestar Freedom Flight aviators: -Billy Walker (8/13/11) Posted at the FL Club Services - Capt'n Dennis McCright There will be a Celebration of Life at the Lone Star Airport at Greg Smith's hanger at 1800 hrs Saturday. He was an excellent pilot and a really good person. He could be blunt in his conversation but not in a derogatory manner and with a great sense of humor. My condolences to his many friends and his family. -Frosty, H. A. "Jack" Frost, Camdenton MO (8/24/11)
