DENNIS KLOCK 1978 - 1979 PILOT DEN IN MEMORIAM First Officer Dennis Klock was killed in the crash of an Air National Guard fighter near Denver on Feb. 28. A member of the 120th Tactical Fighter Squadron based at Buckley, Klock was just completing his first year with Frontier. -Frontier News, March/April 1979 There was a T.D. O'Sullivan with us for a year resigning in 1975. D.H. Olson resigned shortly after his hire date in 1977. There was a D.E. Klock deceased in 1979 less than a year after his hire date. I believe Dennis Klock was killed flying an A-7 with the Colo Air Guard. Bob Beabout could confirm this. -Billy Walker (9/11/03) I will go thru my list and give you and Ace the names and dates of those I have in case someone else is missed... Since I am sure anyone hired before 1968, I will start with Jim Rimer hired 4-29-68 and died from a heart attack on 11-28-83. Jim was born 10-18-34. Ron Farquer 5-27-68, Adj 4-16-71, born 6-29-42, died 1-13-84 (asphyxiation). Dale Glenn 5-3-73 10-3-73, 10-12-42 1-18-78 (DHC6 PUB) John Deahl 7-1-74 12-9-74 12-21-44 4-9-81 (P38 crash) Denny Meyer 1-3-78 1-3-78 12-7-43 1-18-78 (DHC6 PUB) D.E. Klock 5-1-78 5-1-78 10-30-45 2-28-79 I am not sure when this list was constructed, but I would think in 1986. So, unfortunately, there have been other "Gone West's" since. -Billy Walker (9/12/03) Facebook - FL Club FLight West: Dennis Klock DEN pilot Dennis Klock's memorial webpage has been upgraded: http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Dennis_Klock.html Found a photo for Dennis but still need an obituary. -Jake Lamkins (10/3/15) Steven Klock at FLacebook Messenger on 5/30/22 Hello Mr. Lamkins! Happy Memorial day and thank you for your service! I was searching around online today, on this memorial day, and found this page dedicated to my Father, Dennis E Klock. https://fal-1.tripod.com/Dennis_Klock.html Actually, I "think" you may have written to me a while back? But, I cannot find the original message - if it was you or someone else at Frontier, who may have known and flown with my dad? (would have been 1978) He was only with Frontier for one year before he died in an A-7 Corsair II with the 120th Tactical Fighter Squadron out of Buckley AFB. I saw the great links you put on the page, and said you needed an obituary. so Ii have included some information if you would like to have it. Also if you did know him, maybe you have any stories? or know someone who may also have known him? (I was only six - I don't even know what his "call sign" was - even though I have a lot of his memorabilia.) Now, approaching 50, I have two great teenage kids a son (Escher, 13) daughter (Rylan, 15) (my daughter is in JRAFROTC) and a 2 month old daughter now too! (Kestra, 2 mos.) Hi Steven, Great to re-connect. I'm the one who contacted you in 2015 about your dad's webpage. Thanks for the two items on him you sent. I'll be adding them to his webpage. You have a great looking family - I looked at your Facebook page. Take care, -Jake Lamkins (5/30/22) Steven Klock I made this infographic of my Dad's Aviation Career a couple of year's ago. (Capt. Dennis Klock 1945 - 1979) He flew with Frontier back in 1978... I only have one of his flight logs, but using all the data I had from all of the various sources, I was able to look up the serial numbers of most of the planes to see what they actually look like (with paint schemes) versus just text in a flight log. I had also worked (I am a graphic designer) to do my own version of a redesign. Rick Broome Outstanding! Jake Lamkins Gone west WAY TOO SOON! http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Dennis_Klock.html Memorial to Dennis Klock Steven Klock Oh wow! That’s awesome! Thank you! Terry Thompson I am no longer the least bit surprised when I read the phenomenal backgrounds of our Frontier pilot group. Just incredible. Paul Ruberg Great. Thanks for sharing Sherrie Ann Burdette AWESOME TRIBUTE TO YOUR FATHER! XX. Bill Lavery That's really neat! I did something similar for my dad when he retired. We had a poster made and gave it to him at his retirement party. Craig Hansen Very nicely done! Impressive graphic design work and a great memorial of your Dad. (6/28/22) George Fay Steven, I knew your dad... a fine gentleman and great pilot. Steven Klock George Fay, thank you! Wow! So cool - after all these years to meet someone who remembers him! (7/3/22)
