Lanette Duncan Miss her something awful (12/27/19) John Winter I remember Connie, I flew many flights with her, I can say she was the sweetest and most caring person and Flight Attendant Frontier could ask for. God Bless you Connie for who you were on this earth. (12/28/19) There is a story behind this picture. (Jan 1969) Captain Dan Gunn, F/A (then she was Stewardess) Connie Sponsler Bairer and I was a CV-580 Crew leaving the GSW Hangar headed over to Love Field to pick up a CV-580 trip. As we were walking out to get the car and drive to Love Field, we were intercepted by a bunch of people. They were a camera crew from the Denver Headquarters. They said they were doing a story about the last Frontier DC-3 flight and they needed a picture of a crew in uniform standing in front of a DC-3. Dan told them that we weren't a DC-3 crew and that we were a CV-580 crew. They said it didn't make any difference, they just needed a uniformed crew standing with the DC-3. And, that's how Captain Gunn, Connie and I became film stars. Wish I could go back and fly with those two again. -Phil Stallings (11/28/20)
