There were no details...but we know he had a heart bypass surgery in the past few years. He worked at both MKC and MCI. -Rose Dragen (7/26/06) Posted at the FL Club: MKC MCI senior station agent Carl Stinson has died. Bob Stine and Rose Dragen sent word. Obituary Carlisle F. Published in the Kansas City Star on 7/22/2006. -Jake Lamkins (7/26/06) I had already sent Jake a brief note about Carl...but I really don't know much. He worked both MKC and MCI...don't know where he started out...he was 73 yrs old, I believe. If we knew how to reach Fred Baker, he might know more. Carl had really enjoyed the Reunions... I am so glad he was finally persuaded to attend. It won't be the same without him. -Rose Dragen (7/26/06) I worked with Carl at Frontier Airlines. He was a lot of fun to work with and who will ever forget his wisdom of the stock market. If you needed a Wall Street Journal, find Carl! He'll be missed. -Bob Stine (7/26/06) Carl had bypass surgery a few years ago...and never seemed to really come out of it. He walked every day...sometimes for hours...and he was slim, and as far as I know did not drink or smoke... he should have been in excellent health...but he had no one to "look" after him after his Mother passed away... and I know he was lonely...and probably didn't eat well. -Rose Dragen (7/26/06) I am not sure the last time you spoke to Carl. In November 2003 he left a message on my answering machine at my home that he would be going into the operating room for a heart problem and he wanted to say goodbye to me. I am a teacher and was checking my messages at 12:30 when I heard this. He didn't tell me where he was. I immediately went home and called a neighbor of his. She called back in a few minutes and told me which hospital. By the time I got in contact with them he had his double coronary bypass finished and was in recovery. I went back to Kansas City for a week after Christmas that year. He had just been released from the hospital. Unfortunately, I was unable to return till June 05 as my husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor the Spring of 04. Last July I went back there for a visit. He insisted he was okay and although he seemed very thin he seemed to have more energy. Unfortunately because of the time of death till his discovery an exact cause was not found but they presumed it was his heart. I appreciate your letter as I really didn't know if he still had contact with anyone at Frontier. -Cheryl Body (Carl's niece) (8/1/06) C F STINSON Seniority date of 5/30/67 on the 7/1/1984 FL/ALEA seniority list. -Jake Lamkins (8/3/06) C F STINSON M, Emp# 08132, ORG# 3373 - MCI DOB 3/12/33 DOH and station agent seniority date of 5/30/67 per the Oct 1986 FL/ALEA Seniority List. -Jake Lamkins (11/28/15) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Carl Stinson MCI senior station agent Carl Stinson's memorial webpage has been upgraded: http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Carl_Stinson.html Moved to a non-ad website and several items added.
