BOBBY SISSONS 1966 - 1986 STATION AGENT, SENIOR STATION AGENT, STATION MANAGER OKC LBL DEN Posted at the FL Club: Who started this mess and how do I get involved? Also being retired now as well as retarded, is it free? Or do you give senior discounts? Enough questions: now who am I? Bob Sissons - Last work Senior agent in Denver Now live in Green Valley AZ. About 20 miles south of Tucson. Let me hear from you. -Bobby Sissons (8/13/02) I had one job with FAL for 21 years and then I had 21 jobs in 1 year. Needless to say I could not find any thing I really liked as good as the airlines. I am retired now but getting bored with it because my golf game is not improving any. I see some of the FAL people every May when Ron Buttler hosts the FL Tucson open golf tournament at a course here in Green Valley. What ever happened to Jesse James SSA in OKC? -Bobby Sissons (8/16/02) We had a great time at the golf outing. Had 22 old Frontier People show up. The weather was outstanding, and everyone had fun. Here are some of the names Rusty Lambert, Austin Henry, Gary Mackie, Eddie Bryant, Howard Logan, Leo Schuster, Dave Ross, Don Hockenbury, Dan Price, Bob Sissons, Bob Bailey, Bev Bedsaul (Weed), Norm Coldwell. -Ron Butler (5/26/03) I started with FL in 72' and took an early out package in 83'. All as a flight attendent. The last two years I commuted from Los Angeles. -Terry Armstrong Puetz (7/15/03) If this is the same Terry Armstrong whose dad was a captain for FL I worked her first training flt as an SSA in Denver and the reason I remember her so well after all these years Is because of the Impression she left me with. It was a day that was not going to well for me and as we always did I was looking to lay the blame for my bad day on everyone else. When I made my pre board check of the airplane there were five flight attendants on the airplane she was the first one I came in contact with and I ask her what was going on? She told me her name and explained that she was in FA training and this was her first training flight. I listened to her for a few moments and then went about doing my job. All the things she told me are not Important, It was the way she told them that left such an impression on me. She had so much excitement, enthusiasm, joy and love for a company and the job she was starting It was just radiating out from her. It changed my whole day for the better. And now after all these years I get a chance to say THANK YOU TERRY for that day. -Bobby Sissons SSA DEN (7/16/03) Unfortunately my dad was not a captain for FL so I'm assuming that I am not the Terry Armstrong you remember. (At the time, I think I was the only red head that worked for the company too) I'm surprised that there were two Terry Armstrong's working for FL? For what it's worth, just think that I am the same one and thank you for the gracious comment. I would like to think that I was that same person with the same excitement as I enjoyed every minute of working for FL and being a flight attendent. Such great memories to remember and talk about forever. -Terry Armstrong Puetz (7/17/03) Terry, I get a little confused some times remembering all the wonderful people we met at Frontier. You are that person I remember. The one whose dad was a captain was Terry Anderson a DEN TCA. Your names are similar and my memory bank got a little mixed up. -Bobby Sissons (7/17/03) I just got a phone call from Judy Byer this morning. Bobby Sessions was in a bad head on accident. He is in Denver Health Hospital in a drug induced coma... broken ribs, both legs and feet broken and I am not sure what else had happened, but in bad condition. She will be calling me with any more information later today. I will pass on as I hear anything...will get hospital info etc...Keep him in your prayers... -Bev Commiskey (3/20/07) Bobby G Sissons SSA FT Emp# 7930 Per 8/9/86 DEN station personnel roster B G SISSONS Seniority date of 1/9/66 on the 1/1/86 FL/ALEA seniority list -Jake Lamkins (5/7/07) I did see Bobby Sissons again today. He is back in Denver Health Hospital. Do not believe he recognized me and didn't know me........... He can't talk yet but did see considerable improvement. Believe it will just take time. -Orville White (5/7/07) BOBBY GENE SISSONS Age 65 AURORA CO -US Search (5/8/07) Had a good visit with Bobby and he is improving. He is not walking, but is on physical therapy and should be just matter of time. He says he doesn't have any strength and feels weak but that should improve with time. He also said he may be going to another rehab hospital. It will just take time but he is much improved -Orville White (6/11/07) I had a good visit with bobby today and he continues to improve, eating good, walking with his walker and also going up and down a few stairs. Seems to be doing good with the therapists' and some of the nurses. They are going over to his house next wednesday for an inspection and if everything checks out ok, he may get to go home. At least that is what he's hoping but it also depends on his continued therapy. He is a little on edge just being in the hospitals for that length of time. Will try and get up and see him again next week keep all informed.......... -Orville White (7/12/07) Bobby Sissons released from the Spaulding Rehab Hospital today 7/28. He is improving and needs to get his strength back but he is improving. -Orville White (7/28/07) Bobby Sissons is back in the hospital. He has (had) an infection in his left knee and went in to get that taken care of and must have had some complications as he is ICU. Plan on going to see him tomorrow, 12/06, and will let you know more later -Frank Monheiser (12/5/07) Just a note to let you know that Bobby Sissions passed away this AM. No other details at this time but will keep you updated. -Orville White (1/29/10) Bobby Sissons' daughter called me early this afternoon and said that Bobbie had died this morning. Sorry to hear of his passing....prayers and thoughts with his family. Almost 3 years ago, eh? I'm just amazed about hearing about people whom we worked with over the years. If you or any of the ole FL Den Rampies make it out to the Big Island [Kona] don't hesitate to contact me. -Jan Shannon (4/30/10) My dad's memorial service will be held at the First Christian Church of Davenport, OK on Saturday, May 15th, 2pm. A reception will follow. I know this is somewhat short notice and I'm sorry about that, but planning a memorial here in town was just too overwhelming. -Laurie Sissons (5/4/10) My wife Trish Swanson-Hawk and I went to Bobby Sissons' memorial in Davenport, OK. It was a very moving service and a lot of great stories were told about him. It was a great idea for a daughter to honor her father in his hometown. The church was full. I don't know if there were any other FAL folks. -Buck and Trish Hawk (5/16/10) Bob Sissons, formerly Senior Station Agent at Denver, has assumed the duties of Sales Service Manager at Liberal; replacing Jay Smith who elected to return to agent status. per the Apr 1974 FL News -Jake Lamkins (3/16/17) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Bobby Sissons OKC DEN senior station agent Bobby Sissons' memorial webpage has been updated at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Bobby_Sissons.html 8 items added but still need an obituary for Bobby. -Jake Lamkins (3/16/17) I remember Billy (Bill Newnum) talking about Bobby, and always had a smile on his face when he did, they worked together (but where I am not too sure about) we moved around quite a lot! -Karen Barber Blackburn (3/16/17) Loved Bobby -Donna Harrison (3/16/17) I enjoyed working with him at DEN -Jerry Piller (3/16/17) Last time I seen Bobby was at a National Western Show years ago. -Marvin Slotterback (3/16/17) He was such a great guy. -Lisa Kerr Zeman (3/16/17) Another Wonderful person ... gone Soo sad. -Joy May (3/16/17) He was a hoot to work with.
