An article in the May 1964 CN Skywriter said Captain Bob Thompson, OKC, on the mend from surgery.

R E  THOMPSON
Pilot seniority date of 7/23/57 on the 10/28/67 and 9/1/72 FL/ALPA seniority lists.
He is not on the 9/1/81 list.
R E  THOMPSON shown as DFW 737 FO on the 5/74, 4/75 and 4/76 Pilot Domicile Lists.
The 3/77 Pilot Domicile List shows him as a 737 DFW captain.
The 4/78 and 3/79 Pilot Domicile Lists shows R E  Thompson as DFW 737 captain on medical leave 8/1/77.
The 10/81 Pilot Domicile List does not show him and the DFW domicile is closed.
So Bob probably retired in 1980 or so.
Too many Robert E Thompsons at SSDI to pin it down.

Hello all,
I'm trying to find more info about CN captain Bob Thompson.
I want to upgrade his memorial webpage which has very little info.
Ace Avakian carries him on his Gone West list as Need Info.
I went thru the Domicile Lists that Henry Rankin sent me
and find Bob a DFW 737 captain on medical leave 8/1/77.
He drops off with the 10/81 domicile list which reflects the DFW domicile closure.
I'm assuming Bob retired around 1980.
The SSDI has too many Robert E Thompsons to pin it down.
I need the time he passed away, where he was from and/or any other info anyone has.
An obituary would be great.

I went to Bob's furneral, but I do not know when it was. 
He was buried in Weatherford, Texas.
His house was not in town. 
The address probably was Parker County, Texas.

Fifty years ago in FTW, our families went to Grapevine Lake for the day together, etc. 
I moved to KC and Bob kinda disappeared from the scene. 
He was a very private person and liked to keep to himself.
