BOB HARDING CN VICE PRESIDENT - OPERATIONS, BOARD OF DIRECTORS 1949 - 1962 FTW ACF GSW Photo of Bob by Bonanza taken Aug 1949 was sent by Ken Schultz 2/05. -Jake Lamkins (2/14/05) Shown as R. E. Harding, Jr. in most articles. He has surely flown west by now. May have left the board when Kirk Johnson sold out. -Jake Lamkins (1/27/18) Bob posed with Central's first Bonanza in Aug 1949 and he piloted the Central DC-3 in the 1954 movie Strategic Air Command. 1949 and 1952 articles name him vp-operations but later items identify him only as a board of directors member. His father was a well known Ft. Worth banker and probably helped finance Kieth Kahle's start-up of Central Airlines. He is often referred to as a former Ft. Worth City Councilman. Bob is shown on the Central Board of Directors in the 1961 Annual Report which came out in the Spring of 1962. Kirk Johnson sold controlling interest in Central to Carl Pohlad in May 1962. Bob apparently left the Board then or shortly afterwards. -Jake Lamkins (2/7/18) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Bob Harding GSW CN vp-operations and board member Bob Harding's memorial webpage is posted at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Bob_Harding.html Bob piloted the Central DC-3 used in the 1954 movie Strategic Air Command starring fellow Central board member James Stewart.
